What sets fantasy baseball aside for me is all the strategy that goes in. Some owners like crafty veterans while other want young prospects. There is no right way! It’s your team! You’re able to build it how you want!
I’m asking you all now to please get involved in a dynasty start up. I’m not trying to push my ideals on anyone but I promise you’ll thank me later! The excitement that builds inside of me this time of year can only be explained as Christmas 1989 and getting my first Nintendo. Only this time you get to relive that excitement over and over.
We all find our own way in terms of fantasy sports. There is no wrong way! Build how you want and build to maximize your enjoyment.
What I’m going to bring you this time around is a 14 team mixed league mock draft. 5×5 rotisserie scoring format. Which means, batting average, home runs, RBI’s, stolen bases and runs for hitters. Wins, saves, ERA, strikeouts and WHIP for pitchers.
ROUND 15
197. Nate Lowe 1B-Tampa Bay Rays
If Nate gets full time AB’s in Tampa expect a monster!
198. Jose Urquidy SP-Houston Astros
Almost assured a spot in the rotation. Nothing not to like here.
199. JD Davis 3B-New York Mets
Solid BA with 20+ HR’s
200. Masahiro Tanaka SP-New York Yankees
Great team and throws strikes! Expect plentys of wins.
201. Ryan McMahon 2B-Colorado Rockies
Multi-position eligibility mixed with a top 10 hard hit rate percentage. Oh! Did I mention he plays at Coors field?
202. Joc Pederson OF-Los Angeles Angeles
Struggles to hit .250 and the LAD shield him from left handed pitching. Still a good source of power.
203. Matthew Boyd SP-Detroit Tigers
Lefty pitching for a bad team but was top 10 in K% last season.
204. James McCann C-Chicago White Sox
James is as solid as they come at catcher. He’s now the back up but two catcher leagues grab McCann.
205. Jake Odorizzi SP-Minnesota Twins
Finally showed some consistency and I believe its real.
206. Justin Upton OF-Los Angeles Angels
Another injury discount after a ruined 2019 season.
207. Caleb Smith SP-Miami Marlins
MIA has a few young stud pitchers and Caleb is leading the way.
208. Kolten Wong 2B-St. Louis Cardinals
Was given a full time gig and had a career year. Rock solid bat.
209. David Price SP-Los Angeles Dodgers
The move to LA is a massive boost for his price. If he stays healthy could be a huge steal here. Still has outstanding stuff.
210. Austin Riley OF-Atlanta Braves
Needs to improve his contact rate. Not assured of a spot but has awesome pop.
