What sets fantasy baseball aside for me is all the strategy that goes in. Some owners like crafty veterans while other want young prospects. There is no right way! It’s your team! You’re able to build it how you want!
I’m asking you all now to please get involved in a dynasty start up. I’m not trying to push my ideals on anyone but I promise you’ll thank me later! The excitement that builds inside of me this time of year can only be explained as Christmas 1989 and getting my first Nintendo. Only this time you get to relive that excitement over and over.
We all find our own way in terms of fantasy sports. There is no wrong way! Build how you want and build to maximize your enjoyment.
What I’m going to bring you this time around is a 14 team mixed league mock draft. 5×5 rotisserie scoring format. Which means, batting average, home runs, RBI’s, stolen bases and runs for hitters. Wins, saves, ERA, strikeouts and WHIP for pitchers.
ROUND 11
141. Corey Seager SS-Los Angeles Dodgers
After a few big injuries had a solid season. Count on much more this season.
142. Nick Senzel OF-Cincinnati Reds
Kid has speed but for some Reason Cincy added talent that seemingly blocks him. Lets hope for a big spring here! Shout out to a friend of mine David Reed here!
143. Salvador Perez C-Kansas City Royals
Tore up his knee and did not play last season. I’m glad he’s back and so is KC.
144. Garrett Hampson 2B-Colorado Rockies
Kid had awesome September. Hit .318 with 7 HR’s and 11 stolen bases! Not to mention multi-positional eligibility.
145. Ken Giles RP-Toronto Blue Jays
No doubt has the tools to be an effective closer. I’m just irritated with his injury history.
146. Lance Lynn SP-Texas Rangers
Wowza! Lynn had a dominate 2019 season! Do I expect a repeat? No but he’s an awesome find in round 11.
147. Robbie Ray SP-Arizona Diamondbacks
Has an issue with walks but his strikeout stuff is elite. 12K/9 average on three straight season.
148. David Dahl OF-Colorado Rockies
His durability and oft-injured status causes immediate concern. Has early round upside. Take the risk!
149. Dinelson Lamet SP-San Diego Padres
Has electric stuff but another oft-injured pitcher. The potential is here.
150. Khris Davis OF-Oakland Athletics
High-BA hitter and we all know about the home-runs. I’d bet on a rebound season.
151. Kyle Tucker OF-Houston Astros
Have you looked into his Triple-A numbers last season? 34 HR and 30 SB!
152. Christian Walker 1B-Arizona Diamondbacks
Walker was given a full-time role last season and gave us 29 HR’s. Personal favorite of mine in 2020.
153. Bryan Reynolds OF-Pittsburgh Pirates
There were so many great NL rookies last year, Bryan was lost in the shuffle. Don’t’ expect that silly, “sophomore slump”.
154. Carlos Martinez RP-St. Louis Cardinals
Will Carlos be a closer or a started? Either way you’re getting saves or strikeouts!
