2020 MLB Mock Draft (Round 10)

What sets fantasy baseball aside for me is all the strategy that goes in. Some owners like crafty veterans while other want young prospects. There is no right way! It’s your team! You’re able to build it how you want!

I’m asking you all now to please get involved in a dynasty start up. I’m not trying to push my ideals on anyone but I promise you’ll thank me later! The excitement that builds inside of me this time of year can only be explained as Christmas 1989 and getting my first Nintendo. Only this time you get to relive that excitement over and over.

We all find our own way in terms of fantasy sports. There is no wrong way! Build how you want and build to maximize your enjoyment.

What I’m going to bring you this time around is a 14 team mixed league mock draft. 5×5 rotisserie scoring format. Which means, batting average, home runs, RBI’s, stolen bases and runs for hitters. Wins, saves, ERA, strikeouts and WHIP for pitchers.

ROUND 10

127. Byron Buxton OF-Minnesota Twins

Buxton can flat out fly but he’s unreliable.

128. Will Smith C-Los Angeles Dodgers

Smith is an up-and-coming young catcher. Catchers don’t grow on trees! Plus his bat has legit power!

129. Brad Hand RP-Cleveland Indians

An actual closer on a good team is always good in my book! Plus his 13.2 K/9 is lovely.

130. Sonny Gray SP-Cincinnati Reds

Sonny has always been a terrific middle of the rotation pitcher. His numbers are always solid and they are supported by underlying metrics.

131. Franmil Reyes OF-Cleveland Indians

Look, I’m a fan of Fran and best I can tell you is to enjoy his 30-40 HR’s.

132. Hyun-Jin Ryu SP-Toronto Blue Jays

NL ERA leader and is now in TOR and could be had in drafts at a massive bargain!

133. Madison Bumgarner SP-Arizona Diamondbacks

Or should I say, “Mason Saunders”? Bull riding aside, Mad Bum is still a solid source of strikeouts.

134. Justin Turner 3B-Los Angeles Dodgers

Personally I’ve never been a fan of Justin. The constant injuries have been a major turn off. His bat still plays and he’s a high average hitter with power.

135. Elvis Andrus SS-Texas Rangers

Elvis surprised me last season with his highest SB total since 2013!

136. Frankie Montas SP-Oakland Athletics

Was mid-breakout and derailed by a PED suspension. Huge value in the middle to late rounds this year.

137. Christian Vazquez C-Boston Red Sox

Good average hitter in a good lineup.

138. Raisel Igesias RP-Cincinnati Reds

Another stud closer in my book for an up-and-coming Red team. Pencil Raisel in for 30+ saves!

139. Kyle Schwarber OF-Chicago Cubs

Schwarber keeps better and keep an eye out for him in drafts. If he falls draft him and thank me later.

140. Aristides Aquino OF-Cincinnati Reds

Known as the punisher, Aquino showed phenomenal power in limited AB’s. I’m very excited to see what he can do in full season!
