Hockey DFS has always been my first love. Not sure how many of you know that. It has been nothing but football for six months. Every day, every minute all the time. Which is fine but it is also nice to have several other interests.

Over the past six months we have gotten to know each other. Chat on podcasts, crack jokes on various broadcasting sites and share ideas on social media. Most importantly we have built trust together. You have trusted my advice and DFS knowledge all season. For that I cannot thank you enough.

So now, I am asking you to trust me again. Let us take on hockey together. Trust me with your NHL DFS advice. Let me guide you through another season. If you have played NHL DFS before then let us continue to grow and learn together. If you have not played NHL DFS before let me teach you. Let me help you. Let us have some fun!

Day 1 of the 2021 NHL season is upon us. Much like the start of any new season its all about finding a way. Lines are still in flux. Powerplay units are being worked out on the fly. Which is the case for much of the season but getting a lead on a hot line takes some time. Not much, I promise you. So, at this stage of the season let’s roster the studs and watch the rest fall into place!

Happy Sunday my NHL loving people! As you’ve probably noticed there was no Hot Puck yesterday! Only one game was played. I thought it was a good day to rest and let you all fend for yourselves! How did you do? Anything to write home about?

Corey has made nine consecutive starts going 5-4-0 with a 2.46 GAA and 0.928 SV% Tonight San Jose is in town having lost four straight road games. SJ has only scored 1.5 goals a game during that stretch. Corey is quite safe in goal tonight.

30-21-5 W-L – 2.58 GAA – 0.922 SV% – 6 SO

Connor is riding a nice three game winning streak. During the last three he’s stopped 90 out of 93 shots. Hellebuyck has played EDM twice this year going 1-1 and stopping 47 of 50 shots. Albeit expensive, Connor is nice GPP play tonight!

Jake Allen STL @ ANH (FD-$7,900) Not an option on DraftKings

11-6-3 W-L – 2.20 GAA – 0.925 SV% – 2 SO

Allen is expected to start tonight in Anaheim. My first thought here was it’s going to be a shortened game. This game is make up of last weeks game when Jay Bouwmeester collapsed on the bench. It is not available on DraftKings tonight.

Cal Peterson LA vs. OTT (FD-$7,600)(DK-$7,700)

4-3-0 W-L – 2.73 GAA – 0.922 SV% – 0 SO

Calvin faces an Ottawa team that played in Anaheim last night and has lost 7 of their last 8 road games. OTT has only averaged 1.88 goals a game during that stretch. Cal is my favorite tournament goalie this evening!

Be sure to keep an open eye in regards to the goalie confirmations!

After being contacted by the spirit world and using my Ouija board this is my plan. I’m superstitious as is it. Last thing I want to do is anger the ghosts around me. I suggest you do the same thing!
