Bottom of the Barrel WK17

Bottom of the Barrel WK17
Chris Robin

How fast has this season gone by to you? In most cases week 17 is easier to navigate then other weeks during the season. Playoff spots are locked up. Several good players are rested in preparation of the actual NFL playoffs. Thus, creating massive value with backup players!

It has been a wild season. So many ups and so many downs yet we’ve made it.

Let me swift through this week for you! Patrick Mahomes has already been given the day off! So has Ben Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh. Going to be an odd Sunday!

What’s shocking is the fact I keep writing “new feature” in Bottom of the Barrel to mention the most expensive player at each position. Yet here we are, last week of the regular season. That is how fast this season has gone!

MLB Opening Day DFS Special Edition

MLB Opening Day DFS Special Edition
Chris Robin

Opening Day is here! Thursday starts the condensed and shortened MLB season. There are going to be a lot of twists and turns and I plan on being here every step of the way!

I foresee a lot of unorthodox lineups, prospects and strange starting pitching rotations. This is going to be a sprint folks! Buckle up!

I didn’t gather you here to discuss my personal opinions on the upcoming MLB season. I gathered you all here to discuss Thursdays DFS slate! It feels great to have the wheels turning and the DFS cylinders firing again! It’s a way of life, a different way of thinking. You either love it or you don’t.

Enough nonsense! Let’s dissect this outstanding two game slate!

NYY @ WSH 7:08p EST
SFG @ LAD 10:08p EST

What are your first thoughts? It’s not a trick question! Just part of my first step in a long line of breaking down slates. Heavy Yankees and a ton of Dodgers was my first thought but it’s not realistic. Both teams are loaded with talent and their prices reflect that.

Let’s talk starting pitchers on Thursday.

In Washington it’s heavyweight fight.
Gerrit Cole (FD-$11,400)(DK-$10,00) vs. Max Scherzer (FD-$10,700)(DK-$8,600).

The later game is Clayton Kershaw (FD-$10,300)(DK-$7,700) and Johnny Cueto (FD-$6,600)(DK-$5,000)

I’ve never been one to spend up on pitching. Thursday is a tad different given the fact you can only choose from four guys! I sure as hell won’t be owning Cueto willingly!

As I said earlier, my first thought was stack NYY and LAD but that’s not possible. After some time away from my computer I came up with another way. Fade NYY and LAD! Go heavy WSH and the heart of the SFG batting order. Mind you this is for a big GPP contest.

In terms of a cash line we’re obviously going to want safe plays. Quick question, what is safe? These are the first games of the MLB season! Talent will always win out right? Cody Bellinger, Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez and Soto to name a few. Again, it’s going to be an odd season and it’s going to start Thursday and push our limits of analysis. Whatever we thought we knew can be thrown right out the window. Personally, I know nothing. This is a daily game. We can only take so much with us from last season and the few spring games played so far this year.

I’m asking you to think wild. Get crazy! If it doesn’t make sense then that’s probably the key to a good DFS lineup in 2020.

I look forward to providing many more articles and sample lines for all of you this baseball season. Hang with me and I’ll do my best to make it a fun and enjoyable MLB DFS season!

Here are a few more sample lines I’ve been fooling around with! All these lines are for entertainment and fun!

NBA Value Street – 2/26/20

NBA Value Street
By Dylan Thompson

NBA Value Street

After yet another profitable fantasy night, we have a great nine games slate tonight. The value was there and I am your guy to find it so let’s get into it. If you havent done so yet, hop in our Discord chat, it is 100% Free and we drop all kinds of info in there daily. Click here to join! Last nights value smasher from my article:  D. Green 10.3X

PG – Shabazz Napier

This young man just produced 11.87X return in his last game. He will be facing a Brooklyn team tonight that is absolutely horrible when it comes to defending the perimeter. I’m not looking for a repeat performance of 12X, But his price tag is only $4300. Both teams are in the top 10 in pace which means more fantasy production opportunity, and I am taking advantage of this spot.

SG – Dillon Brooks

He’s kind of been one a slump, but tonight he has a golden opportunity to get back on track. Facing a Houston team that is giving up the 9th most fantasy points to the position, we should get some good fantasy production out of this young man tonight. His price is $4100, and he is averaging 25 fppg on the season, that’s well over 5X average. Lock him in.

SF – Joe Harris

This man has been as consistent as they come over the season. His price comes in at $4800, and he’s facing a Washington defense that’s doesn’t like to defend behind the arc, which is fine with me. I can see him going low owned and producing well tonight. In his last 10 games he’s only not reached value in 4 of them. I’ll take those odds any day against a poor defense.
Also look at Josh Jackson

PF – Al Horford

We know all to well what this guy can do, and tonight I think he will do what we know. Ball out! I have no idea how he is only $4800, but I will be glad to steal him at that price. He will be taking a revamped Cleveland defense, but I do not see that slowing him down one bit. I’ll be looking tonight for our guy to hit at least 5.5 X.

C – Jakob Poeltl

This dude has been killing it the last 2 games and tonight facing a Dallas team that struggles against centers, I’ll be looking his way. His price tag is $4000 and I just might be willing to take a shot on that. On a nine game slate there are definitely other more expensive dinners that you can pay it forward but if you do need salary relief look no further.

Good luck to everyone tonight and remember please play responsibly and pay attention to your bank roll management!

Let’s get this money! If you’re not a premium member click the link below to get started, we have top of line tools available to help you compete with the all those pesky dfs sharks on a daily basis.
