Just like that it’s Monday! Spring and Opening Day is right around the corner. Meaning, the casual DFS player is losing interest with hockey. Full blown baseball fever!

Don’t forget to find me on Twitter! Always updating my lines!

In other words, it’s the perfect time to go all in on NHL DFS! To be fair I’m always all in with hockey! Aside from Halloween this has to be the best time of the year! Loads of NBA, NHL and MLB action!

When we sit down to research and dissect each slate just know we have the advantage!

Tonight is a great evening for hockey! Only five games to choose from. Here it is! Hot Puck in all it’s glory.

FANDUEL slate                                                                              DRAFTKINGS slate

Main 7p (5)                                                                                     Main 7p (5)
Express 8p (2)                                                                                Turbo 8p (2)
After Hours 9p (2)                                                                           Late 9p (2)

Anze Kopitar L1 & PP1
Alex Iaffallo L1 & PP1
Dustin Brown L1 & PP1

COL skates into the Staples Center tonight on back end of a back-to-back. COL has been quite consistent but the Kings have won 5 straight games! LA has won 7 of their last 10 vs. Colorado recently. I don’t know what it is but teams haven’t played well in California recently! I love the Kings tonight! 4-2 or 3-1!

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins L1 & PP1
Connor McDavid L1 & PP1
Zack Kassian L1

Vegas is rolling right now and they play in Edmonton this evening. While the Oilers continue to play good hockey. Vegas is playing their second game of a B2B tonight. That’s doesn’t worry me much but I still believe EDM out skates them tonight. Can’t go wrong with a few one offs from EDM. As you scroll through you’ll see my thought process!

Nikolaj Ehlers L2 & PP1
Cody Eakin L2
Patrik Laine L2 & PP1

The Coyotes are in Winnipeg tonight. The over/under sits at 5.5 goals and I can see a more tight physical game here. I’m liking the under meaning, I wouldn’t get too wild with stacks in this one. WPG2 is our best bet for points.

Jonathan Huberdeau L2 & PP1
Erik Haula L2 & PP2
Mike Hoffman L2 & PP1

Florida is rested, desperate and on the road. It’s that simple for me. The Blues are the better team and having been playing well. Don’t care who wins, just want points!

Alex Ovechkin L1 & PP1
Evgeny Kuznetsov L1 & PP1
Tom Wilson L1 & PP2

Jakub Vrana L2
Nicklas Backstrom L2 & PP1
T.J. Oshie L2 & PP1

The Capitals LOVE playing Buffalo! They have beat BUF 8 out of the last 10. Buffalo cant get together tonight while WSH has their way with them! 4-2 or 5-3 final tonight.

Jack Eichel L1 & PP1
Jeff Skinner L1 & PP1
Sam Reinhart L1 & PP1

Classic case of keeping pace with the other team. BUF1 scores once or twice at home tonight.

Today is the day Hot Puck puts it all together! Your one stop shop for NHL DFS! I’ve listened to all of you! I’ve read the comments and emails! By popular demand, Hot Pucking Stacks presents our lightening round of BOTH offensive one offs AND Defensive one offs!

Mixing and matching is my favorite way to attack a smaller slate! Find one stud line to use then mix and match the rest! Are you ready? Good! Here they are!

OFFENSIVE one offs…

Sammy Blais STL vs. FLA L1 (FD-$3,300)(DK-$2,500)

Clayton Keller ARZ @ WPG L1 & PP1 (FD-$5,200)(DK-$4,700)

Vladislav Namestnikov COL @ LA L1 & PP2 (FD-$4,600)(DK-$4,600)(DK-$4,300)

Kailer Yamamoto EDM vs. LVK L2 & PP2 (FD-$4,700)(DK-$4,900)

Kyle Connor WPG vs. ARZ L1 & PP1 (FD-$7,500)(DK-$7,200)

DEFENSIVE one offs…

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/27/20 (THREE free lineups)

Last night was fun! Thank you to everyone who read and commented! I’m also happy to have received so many messages this morning. From winnings to free MLB tickets won! Always a good feeling!

That was yesterday and today there are 10 games on the NHL schedule.

FanDuel has broken it down into three slates while DraftKings is at two.

Main 7p (10) Main 7p (10)
Express 730p (3) Turbo 8p (3)
After Hours 8p (4)

I won’t be hammering you with stacks today. Kind of short and sweet.

Marcus Foligno L1 & PP2
Alex Galchenyuk L3 & PP2
Mats Zuccarello L3 & PP2

The Wild have played some of their best hockey on road. They are in Detroit tonight and are averaging 3 goals a game. Their top two lines are quite sufficient but I’m going to pluck MIN3 from the bunch tonight. MIN wins 4-1!

Ondrej Palat L1 & PP1
Brayden Point L1 & PP1
Nikita Kucherov L1 & PP1

Tampa is back to stacking these massively powerful lines and I don’t think the Blackhawk goalies can handle them. CHI has lost back to back games while TB is looking to get right. Expect a ton of shots and a Tampa win. 4-2 or 5-1.

Alex Ovechkin L1 & PP1 & PP2
Evgeny Kuznetsov L1 & PP2
Tom Wilson L1 & PP2

Washington is playing in Winnipeg tonight. Hopefully you remember the graphic I shared the other night. Then Ovi proceeded to score 1:55 into the game. WSH @ WPG has a 6.5 over/under tonight and I expect ever bit of that to hit!

William Nylander L2 & PP1
John Tavares L2 & PP1
Denis Malgin L2

Toronto is in Florida tonight and this game has heavy playoff implications! Expect a playoff atmosphere with a ton of action. TOR is 0-5 their last 5 games following a win. Look, TOR is 0-6 their last 6 games in Florida. Toronto is scoring 3.5 goals a game and no way the Maple Leafs fold in this one. Again, don’t care who wins we just want goals! 4-3 or a 5-4 tonight! Stack the Leafs!

Jonathan Huberdeau L1 & PP1
Aleksander Barkov L1 & PP1
Evgenii Dadov L1 & PP1

See above! Playoff atmosphere with a huge over/under! Plenty of points to go around in this one!

JT Miller L2 & PP1
Elias Pettersson L2 & PP1
Tyler Toffoli L2 & PP1

The Canuks are in Ottawa tonight looking to build on two road wins! I won’t get into the Senators stats and record for home and away splits cause they are awful. Only thing that matters is VAN is 4-0 vs. OTT last 4 games. Another heavy over/under at 6.5 I expect poor defense on Ottawa’s part while VAN has its way with them. 4-2 final tonight.

Nick Suzuki L2 & PP1 & PP2
Joel Armia L2 & PP2
Artturi Lehkonen L2

The Rangers are on fire and travel to Montreal tonight. On paper this one should be NYR. If we look a touch closer like last night PIT @ LA game we will see that MTL has had some success vs. the Rangers. Going 4-1 and scoring 3 goals a game! Give me MTL in a close one! 2-1 or 3-2.

FD Main 2-27

As you can see I have provided a sample line for MAIN and AFTER HOURS.

FD After Hours 2-27

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/15/20 EACH SLATE! (4 sample lines)

Hopefully everyone had a fantastic Valentines Day! Big afternoon and evening for hockey tonight!

1p slate aside Fanduel has broken it down into four separate slates! Hang here and I will break down each slate including a sample line for each slate! Going to be a good one!

With the NBA All-Star break in full swing many DFS fans will flock to hockey DFS tonight. That is just fine! Stay the course, trust your research and build some winning lines!

I got a late start to the day so forgive me for not giving my thoughts on each stack per usual. I just wanted to get this information out to you as quick as possible. In all my years reading NHL DFS content I have never come across an article that shares sample lines the way we do here. The whole point to this article and the creation of it was to do just that. Share lines and as much content as possible.

Early Only 3p 4 games
Afternoon Only 4p 2 games
Main 7p 6 games.
After Hours 10p 3 games

As it stands now Afternoon Only is my main target. It’s a great two game slate and we can really do some damage.

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/11/20 (TWO free lines)

Last night was another fantastic night for our hockey lineups! I decided to give out an edited After Hours line right before lock at 10p. Here is that lineup…

After Hours 2/10

As you can see it finished with 146.2! Even with a 0.0 from Evander Kane! We’ve been a real heater here at DFS Cheat Sheets.

My bread and butter has always been smaller two game slates. Normally after hours. I’m happy and very proud I’ve been able to share my process with anyone who wants to listen! I’ve read all your emails and FB messages and thank you all for the kind words.

On the flip side over the past few months I’ve noticed a lot of hate and insecurity in the DFS community. I’m of the belief that the more we share and support each other the farther we can go. I’ve established some friendships and connections with random strangers around the county. The one lasting effect to these friendships is support. Always bouncing ideas around and working on a process.

I’ve never once claimed to know it all. I’ve often asked for help and have always listened. The moment I push my content as a know it all is the day I will crash and burn. Will things ever change online? Absolutely not but I sleep well at night knowing I did the best I can.

Supporting each other and sharing each others ideas can only bring more love and better ideas. This is not about our egos or individual achievements. Together we are stronger. If you don’t believe me look around at all the blossoming DFS optimizer sites. Or the strong DFS groups on Face book, Slack or Discord. It’s a group of people with like minded ideas and one common goal.

I’m no one special but please, lets share and support each other more.

Tonight is a packed NHL schedule! On Fanduel its broken down into four slates. There are as follows.

Main 7p (11 games)
Express I 8p (2 games)
Express II 830p (3 games)
After Hours 9p (3 games)

After spending the evening and this morning reading and combing over statistics these are the stacks that I’m interested in tonight!

Taylor Hall L1 & PP1
Christian Dvorak L1 & PP1
Connor Garland L1 & PP1

Arizona gives up goals, that’s no secret. They are in Toronto tonight and we know how talented the Maple Leafs are. They’ve actually underperformed this season. The Coyotes rank 22nd overall in scoring this season so far. The over/under tonight in TOR is 6 and I see that being met and then some! ARZ is only 2-5-3 in their last 10. This entire write isn’t very flattering for the Coyotes but that’s what I love most about it. A top line that also skates on the top power play. They are perfectly priced at little to no ownership!

Alex Killorn L2 & PP1
Tyler Johnson L2 & PP1
Anthony Cirelli L2 & PP2

Two heavyweights back at it on the ice tonight! Tampa may be a little tired after playing in Columbus last night. The Penguins have been consistent as it comes. They are 8th in goals scored and 5th overall in goals allowed. These two played last week Tampa Bay won and they will win again tonight. 5-2 or 4-3.

Brett Connolly L2 & PP2
Vincent Trocheck L2 & PP2
Noel Acciari L2

Another team headed in the wrong direction. If you’ve paid attention that’s the theme here tonight. Aside from the stud teams and great line combos, we’re looking for lines that may pop to compliment the TB1s and PIT1s lines who score massive points. Florida is playing in New Jersey tonight and the Devils have played well as of late. The Devils have a good chance to put some goals in the net but the Panthers rank 5th overall in goals scored. Another sneaky play at a minimal price!

Jimmy Vesey L1 & PP2
Sam Reinhart L1 & PP1
Jack Eichel L1 & PP1

This one is a no-brainer tonight. The Red Wings are in Buffalo tonight and hopefully you remember my mantra; STACK against DETROIT! The Red Wings have the worst road goals scored average at 2.02. Jack Eichel has 69 total points so far this season and look for him and Buffalo to steam roll the Wings tonight in Buffalo. 4-1 or a 5-1 final here.

Anthony Beauillier L2 & PP2
Brock Nelson L2 & PP1
Josh Bailey L2 & PP2

The Islanders haven’t been great on offense ranking 22nd in goals scored but they have a solid defense! Ranking 4th overall in goals against. The Flyers come to town tonight and they have played awesome in their past few games but they aren’t good enough to keep it. After the Flyers won by 5 goals their last time out they may in their emotions while the Islanders stay steady. NYI win 4-2 tonight.

Paul Stastny L2 & PP1
Reilly Smith L2 & PP2
Jonathan Marchessault L2 & PP1

Vegas is the better team here. The Minnesota Wild are in the bottom portion of the NHL offensively and their defense ranks as one of the worst around and giving up the 7th most goals this season. Although in Minnesota the Golden Knights handle their business and win 5-2 or 4-3.

Kyle Connor L1 & PP1
Mark Scheifele L1 & PP1
Patrik Laine L1 & PP1

If you have followed Hot Puck then you know I’ve suggested the Rangers second line often. Tonight I’m all in on the Jets. The Jets have won three straight and have only given up 2 goals in each of their three games. It will be tough sledding tonight in Winnipeg for the Rangers. Stack the Jets top line and watch them win 4-2!

Zach Sanford L2 & PP2
David Perron L2 & PP1
Ryan O’Reilly L2 & PP2

The Blues have played poorly on the road lately. Tonight they are in Anaheim to play the Ducks. Another team and line off the radar. St. Louis has faltered on defense recently meaning this one may turn into a shoot out. For that fact I’m stacking STL2. You all know I don’t care who wins the game. Who scores goals is the selling point. Blue win on the road tonight 4-2 or 3-2.

Gabriel Landeskog L1 & PP1
Nathan Mackinnon L1 & PP1
Mikko Rantanen L1 & PP1

Valeri Nichushkin L2 & PP2
Nazem Kadri L2 & PP1
Andre Burakovsky L2 & PP2

I’m going to lump both lines into the same paragraph. It’s quite clear Colorado is the better team here. Ottawa comes to the Pepsi center this evening and I don’t think it’s going to be pretty. Colorado has the highest implied winning percentage tonight at 74.4%. The Senators have scored 2.69 goals a game while allowing 3.30 goals a game. Colorado has averaged 3.69 goals a game and tonight could be the perfect time to stack COL and both lines. Watch the goals fall and the Avalanche win 5-2 or 6-1.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins L1 & PP1
Leon Draisaitl L1 & PP1
Kailer Yamamoto L1 & PP1

Connor McDavid hurt his quadriceps last night thought to be a charley horse has developed into a 2-3 week long injury. As one of the best skaters in all of hockey this hurts. The beauty of DFS is to get around injuries like this. Now Edmonton has shuffled their lines and EDM1 is very much in play tonight! Stack with confidence tonight at home vs. the Blackhawks. Get better Connor!

MAIN 2/11/20

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/10/20 (TWO free lines)

Welcome back! Hopefully reading this will break your Monday blues!

Yesterdays sample lines did very well! In the right contests they were dynamite! Both my Main line and After Hours line were on top of the scoreboards! Here is a picture of each roster I published yesterday afternoon!

2/9 Main-164.9
After Hours 2/9-168.5

Let the good times roll! Tonight is a medium sized schedule. NHL 7p Main is six games and the 10p After Hours slate is a beautiful two games! I will give out a sample line for each slate! Use them wisely! Enough with the small talk, lets get to it!

Claude Giroux L1 & PP1
Sean Couturier L1 & PP1
Jakub Vorack L1 & PP1

The Panthers come to Philly tonight licking their wounds and have gone 1-4 in their last 5 games. While the Flyers have gone 3-2 their last 5. Florida has had no answer for the Flyers recently losing 5 of their last 6 on the road in Philly. The Flyers first line has been playing well recently and we can double dip on the first power play line. The over/under is set at 6.5 and I’m thinking Philly wins 4-2 or 5-3.

Jonathon Drouin L3 & PP2
Max Domi L3 & PP2
Artturi Lehkonen L3

Arizona is in Montreal tonight and on average have scored 2.73 goals a game while giving up 2.66 goals. The Canadians are dead even scoring 3.05 goals a game and giving up 3.05 a game. Montreal has dominated the Coyotes at home going 14-4-2 their last 20. MTL is banged up but I don’t see them giving this one away. MTL wins 3-1 or 4-1 tonight. Stack the third line, due to the injuries they should see more ice time then normal.

Alex Ovechkin L1 & PP1
Nicklas Backstrom L1 & PP1
Tom Wilson L1

Listen, I’m going to keep this simple. Ovi is chasing 700 goals tonight. Yes the Caps were blown out 7-2 by the Flyers over the weekend. Washington was horrible on defense. The Caps will come out flying trying to make amends for their last contest. I’m normally not big on game narratives but 700 goals is too sweet to pass up on. They feed Ovi early and often and skate to a 5-2 or 4-1 win tonight. Ovi gets goal #700 and #701! START WSH 1!

Brett Connolly L2 & PP2
Vincent Trocheck L2 & PP2
Noel Acciari L2

Florida @ Philadelphia has the highest implied goal tonight. 6.5 is the o/u. As I said earlier in the article the Panthers play horrible in Philly and the Flyers should win. BUT their second line is a nice, cheap and sneaky stack. If you look around this slate I’m seeing 5-6 other line stacks that take precedence over FLA2 tonight. That excites me and makes FLA2 a line to jump on. Florida scores 3.53 goals a game this year and it wouldn’t shock me if FLA puts in 2 or 3.

Main 2/10

JT Miller L2 & PP2
Elias Pettersson L2 & PP1
Jake Virtanen L2 & PP2

Nashville comes to Vancouver tonight. I’ve dogged the Predators a few times this season and its come back to bite me once. Tonight is their four straight game vs. a Canadian team. Tonight will end a 4 game Canadian road trip for the Preds and I can see them wanting to get in and out and head home. The Canuks have been up and down recently and have lost their last 4 games and have been outscored 18-7 over that stretch. It looks grim tonight in Vancouver but in my sick and twisted mind that’s why I like VAN2! The Canuks squeak out a 3-2 or 4-1 win tonight!

Evander Kane L1 & PP1
Barclay Goodrow L1
Patrick Marleau L1 & PP2

Calgary comes to the shark tank tonight ranked only 23rd in goals scored this season. While San Jose is riding a two game winning streak. Including a massive win vs. the Oilers 6-3! San Jose just beat the Flames a few games ago. I think the Sharks take advantage of knowing how to beat the Flames. It sounds silly but it’s true. San Jose jumps all over Calgary and wins 5-1 or 4-1.

After Hours 2/10

Thanks you for reading! Here is a main line and an after hours line up and the direction I’m heading. Please use these lines responsibility. They are always to be used for fun!

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/3/20 (TWO FREE lineups)

That was fun! The Super Bowl is over! Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs and the great state of Kansas! Ha! Uh oh! The President of the United States and the leader of the free world isn’t 100% sure where Kansas City is. We all make mistakes right?

With football officially over its time to switch our attention to hockey full time! Tonight is a beautiful three game slate.

There is also a lot of fire power on the ice tonight. Along with the Red Wings. Say it with me now, “STACK AGAINST THE RED WINGS”

Jokes aside, let me help guide you through this tiny Monday slate. No mistakes can be made tonight. Stud players and fantastic line combinations are a plenty! Lets make sure we pick the right ones!

Zach Hyman L1
Auston Matthews L1 & PP1
Mitch Marner L1 & PP1

The Maple Leafs have the highest implied goal total tonight at 3.6. It would be really tough to fade Toronto tonight. Their top line is expensive and rightfully so. If youre going to spend up tonight please choose Toronto 1!

Alexander Kerfoot L2
John Tavares L2 & PP1
William Nylander L2 & PP1

The Maple Leafs second is as effective as any second line in the NHL. For purposed of DFS they are a tad cheaper and you get awesome exposure to the top power play.

Joel Farabee L2
Sean Couturier L2
Jakub Voracek L2

The Flyers are in Detroit this evening and its only right we pick on them. Philly has the second highest implied goal total tonight at 3.3. Their second line is the way to go. Medium priced with the ability to put up major points for your roaster.

Brett Connolly L2
Vincent Trocheck L2 & PP1
Mike Hoffman L2 & PP1

This line could be the sneakiest combo of the night. It’s perfectly priced. The Panthers are in Toronto tonight and will have to keep pace with the Leafs. Two of these men see time on the top power play unit. This game is going to be faced place and with an over/under of 6.5 goals you’ll want a piece of that!

Jamie Benn L1 & PP1
Tyler Seguin L1 & PP1
Rooke Hinte L1

These three men are priced above average and it makes sense. The Stars are a road favorite in New York tonight. Another face paced game with massive point potential. I like Dallas here for three total goals.

Here are two sample lines and how I’m fitting in my stacks. Per usual, these lines are for fun and please play responsibly!
