What sets fantasy baseball aside for me is all the strategy that goes in. Some owners like crafty veterans while other want young prospects. There is no right way! It’s your team! You’re able to build it how you want!
I’m asking you all now to please get involved in a dynasty start up. I’m not trying to push my ideals on anyone but I promise you’ll thank me later! The excitement that builds inside of me this time of year can only be explained as Christmas 1989 and getting my first Nintendo. Only this time you get to relive that excitement over and over.
We all find our own way in terms of fantasy sports. There is no wrong way! Build how you want and build to maximize your enjoyment.
What I’m going to bring you this time around is a 14 team mixed league mock draft. 5×5 rotisserie scoring format. Which means, batting average, home runs, RBI’s, stolen bases and runs for hitters. Wins, saves, ERA, strikeouts and WHIP for pitchers.
ROUND 18
239. Sean Murphy C-Oakland Athletics
Sean was a top catching prospect and now we know why!
240. Miles Mikolas SP-St. Louis Cardinals
As of this publishing Miles has received a platelet-rich plasma injection into his forearm. Time missed should be minimal for this WHIP specialist.
241. Yadier Molina C-St. Louis Cardinals
Solid batting average with a touch of power. At this stage in his career I’d accept that.
242. Manuel Margot OF-Tampa Bay Rays
The move to TB is an interesting one. Hopefully he can hit his way to regular AB’s.
243. Dallas Keuchel SP-Chicago White Sox
Is an inning eater and pitches deep enough to rack up wins.
244. Mitch Keller SP-Pittsburgh Pirates
He’s a late round stash and lets hope he can get it together. ERA was massive in a few starts last season.
245. Ryan Braun OF-Milwaukee Brewers
If he can get 400+ AB’s then this spot for him is perfect.
246. Michael Kopech SP-Chicago White Sox
Missed all of 2019 due to injury but the velocity is back so far this spring. Another late round stash.
247. Alex Colome RP-Chicago White Sox
Decent closer on an up-and-coming White Sox team. Personal favorite of mine this season.
248. Jesse Winkler OF-Cincinnati Reds
Another frustrating kid to own due to injuries but you can’t deny the potential.
249. Kyle Seager 3B-Seattle Mariners
I’m hoping for second half type numbers to start the season.
250. Luis Arraez 2B-Minestoa Twins
He is adding BA to his game and wouldn’t be surprised to see a .310+ average to end the season.
251. Ross Stripling RP-Los Angeles Dodgers
Great arm, excellent approach and playing for stud team. What’s not to like?
252. Willy Adames SS-Tampa Bay Rays
Willy’s defense should keep him on the field. Not to mention a solid #2 hitter.
