Hot Pucking Stacks 3/10/20

Happy Super Mario Day! MAR-10! Get it?

What a night! Florida won on the road! The Kings beat Colorado at home! Was another odd DFS night across the board!

That was then and this is now! I’m not fooling around tonight. As you read on you’ll see exactly what I mean!

Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter! Constant updates!

Pay close attention as we get into the stacks. I will not being cute tonight. I’m looking into stacking teams first lines. No time to get into 3rd and 4th lines.

You know I follow the numbers and stats. Tonight the slate has spoke to me. I felt like an NHL DFS medium. I was contacted by the spirits. I was told to hammer home SIX separate first lines and only ONE second line.

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/23/20 (FREE lineup Sunday)

I can’t remember the last time a slate was such a no-brainer slam dunk such as this one. On the flip side, that only means I’m going to get burned. Isn’t that how DFS works?

The days we love our lineups are the days we crash and burn! The nights we throw our lineups together quickly with no edits are the big money nights.

Right? I can’t be the only one!

Today FanDuel has broken down the NHL action into three slates.

Early Only 3p (3)

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/19/20

Every day is a fresh start for both our real lives and our fantasy lives! Evgeni Malkin was a super late scratch last night. He left warm-ups early then the Penguins pulled him due to, “illness’. It didn’t matter much as you can see below.

Tough to win anything substantial with a 0.0 but we’re on to today!

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/7/20 (FREE line)

Little later then normal tonight but promise it’ll be worth it! Sometimes are real life get in the way of our fantasy lives!

Tonight is nice and easy! Four games and eight teams. Nice and easy. Right? Well there is a lot less to process after yesterdays 12 game slate.

Tonight we’re going to pay attention to detail. Power play percentages, shots on goal, home vs. road records and hits. Although hits don’t show up as points on a score sheet they play a huge role in time of possession. They cause turn over’s, which add up to scoring chances.

Attention to detail! It can lead to a slippery slope but a slop that leads to goals and fantasy points!

Jamie Benn L1 & PP1
Roope Hintz L1
Tyler Seguin L1 & PP1

In the last 70 contests between the Stars and Wild the home team is 48-22. Dallas has struggled offensively as of late but they have a terrific defense. Only giving up 134 goals this season.

Nick Foligno L1 & PP2
Pierre-Luc Dubois L1 & PP1
Oliver Bjorkstrand L1 & PP1

The Blue Jackets leader in points is Pierre-Luc Dubois with 42. He’s also the team leader in assists with 25. Elvis Merzlikins, CBJ’s goalie has been outstanding this season. 11-6-4 with 4 total shutouts! The Wings are averaging 2.04 goals a game while giving up 3.81 goals. That’s a recipe for disaster. The Red Wings have lost to CBJ 4-2 in two straight. Look for more of the same. The over/under here is 5.5 and I could see the Blue Jackets doing that on their own! Blue Jackets put up 5 goals in this one. Line 1 and PP1, pick your poison!

Artemi Panarin L2 & PP1
Filip Chytil L2
Jesper Fast L2

Buffalo has scored 2.83 goals a game this season while giving up 3.13. The Rangers have scored 3.29 goals a game while giving up 3.21 goals a game. That’s quite even for both sides. The Rangers have beaten the Sabers in 3 straight games. Want to know the average score? 5-1.67! New York has dominated Buffalo recently. NYR2 gets in on the fun and they win 5-2!

Zach Hymen L1 & PP2
Auston Matthews L1 & PP1
Mitch Marner L1 & PP1

Toronto has scored on average 3.57 goals a game while their opponent tonight, Anaheim Ducks, give up 3.06 goals a game. The Maple Leafs have won the last 3 vs. the Ducks at an average of 5-2. Toronto at home vs. Anaheim who isn’t very good at home. 4-1 final in this one!

Alexander Kerfoot L2
John Tavares L2 & PP1
William Nylander L2 & PP1

See above! Promise I’m not lazy!

Ryan Donato L4
Mikko Koivu L4
Ryan Hartman L4

The Wild are in Dallas tonight and the Stars have given up 7 goals in their last two games! Minnesota is 48-22 in their last 70 meetings vs. the Stars. I don’t expect them to win but I do see 6 goals scored in this one tonight. 4-2 or a 4-3 final. Which would be just fine with me!

Here is a sample line and what my lines will be looking like tonight! Please play safely and know this line is just for fun! So take it easy!

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/3/20 (TWO FREE lineups)

That was fun! The Super Bowl is over! Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs and the great state of Kansas! Ha! Uh oh! The President of the United States and the leader of the free world isn’t 100% sure where Kansas City is. We all make mistakes right?

With football officially over its time to switch our attention to hockey full time! Tonight is a beautiful three game slate.

There is also a lot of fire power on the ice tonight. Along with the Red Wings. Say it with me now, “STACK AGAINST THE RED WINGS”

Jokes aside, let me help guide you through this tiny Monday slate. No mistakes can be made tonight. Stud players and fantastic line combinations are a plenty! Lets make sure we pick the right ones!

Zach Hyman L1
Auston Matthews L1 & PP1
Mitch Marner L1 & PP1

The Maple Leafs have the highest implied goal total tonight at 3.6. It would be really tough to fade Toronto tonight. Their top line is expensive and rightfully so. If youre going to spend up tonight please choose Toronto 1!

Alexander Kerfoot L2
John Tavares L2 & PP1
William Nylander L2 & PP1

The Maple Leafs second is as effective as any second line in the NHL. For purposed of DFS they are a tad cheaper and you get awesome exposure to the top power play.

Joel Farabee L2
Sean Couturier L2
Jakub Voracek L2

The Flyers are in Detroit this evening and its only right we pick on them. Philly has the second highest implied goal total tonight at 3.3. Their second line is the way to go. Medium priced with the ability to put up major points for your roaster.

Brett Connolly L2
Vincent Trocheck L2 & PP1
Mike Hoffman L2 & PP1

This line could be the sneakiest combo of the night. It’s perfectly priced. The Panthers are in Toronto tonight and will have to keep pace with the Leafs. Two of these men see time on the top power play unit. This game is going to be faced place and with an over/under of 6.5 goals you’ll want a piece of that!

Jamie Benn L1 & PP1
Tyler Seguin L1 & PP1
Rooke Hinte L1

These three men are priced above average and it makes sense. The Stars are a road favorite in New York tonight. Another face paced game with massive point potential. I like Dallas here for three total goals.

Here are two sample lines and how I’m fitting in my stacks. Per usual, these lines are for fun and please play responsibly!
