Just like that it’s Wednesday! I had a conversation last night with a friend about the importance of telling the truth. Not trying to get heavy but we must be aware of our actions and the consequences they cause.

Given this platform and my article, I found this extremely important. Giving my opinions and advice has to come from a place of honesty. Whether its good or bad I have to own it. Win or lose I own it.

If I’m always honest then I don’t have to worry about what I said and to who I talked with. The joy of playing DFS is the fact we can start over the next day. Good or bad honesty plays a huge role. It allows me to follow my gut and give you the best possible advice.

Keep in mind on DraftKings they will NOT be offering the STL @ ANH game on their slate tonight!

Last night our FD Main line finished very well!

As a fan of the NHL here’s what the playoff picture would look like today!

Hot Pucking Stacks 3/2/20 (4 FREE lines)

Today is an odd circumstance. Only two games on the NHL schedule. One of which being extremely lopsided.

At this stage of the season the playoff picture is starting to take shape. On the flip side, some games become more one-sided.

As it stands now hopefully you understand the difference between chalk, value and being contrarian. Only reason I mention that is due to a heavy Colorado Avalanche influence tonight.

Meaning, COL1 & COL2 are going to be EXTREMLY high owned. Which is fine, we just need to come up with a plan to attack the slate in another way. Or attack it along with COL while adding in other stacks and players that will set our lines apart.

Still following? Hopefully! So follow me as we journey through this small yet complicated slate!

COLORADO 1

Gabriel Landeskog L1 & PP1
Nathan MacKinnon L1 & PP1
Valeri Nichushkin L1 & PP2

COLORADO 2

Matthew Nieto L2
JT Compher L2 & PP1
Joonas Donskoi L2 & PP2

NASHVILLE 2

Filip Forsberg L2 & PP1
Kyle Turris L2 & PP1
Mikael Granlund L2 & PP1

EDMONTON 2

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins L2 & PP1
Leon Draisaitl L2 & PP1
Alex Chiasson L2 & PP1

DETROIT 1

Tyler Bertuzzi L1 & PP1
Dylan Larkin L1 & PP1
Anthony Mantha L1 & PP1

Tonight will be a test of our DFS skill. Tonight will take a sharp line with a winning strategy.

FD Main 3-2

I’m providing my normal MAIN sample line along with a contrarian line. The contrarian line is meant to show an odd way to attack this slate. On such a small schedule I’m cool with entering a single entry GPP without COL.

FD Contrarian 3-2

None of us can predict the future but if COL comes out flat and DET hops all over them our plan just might work!

DK Main 3-2

Make sure to keep an eye out for an updated line closer to 7:30p lock!

DK DET/COL 3-2

As usual, all lines are meant to be used for entertainment purposes. Please play responsibilty!

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/22/20 (THREE free lines!)

Welcome to the weekend! Time to take a rest and treat yourself! What better way then with early afternoon hockey!

The NHL schedule to large today! Eleven games total broken down into four separate slates.

Early Only 1p (3)
Main 7p (8)
Express 8p (2)
After Hours 10p (3)

Per usual I will list the stacks I’m into today while giving away a few free sample lines! Last night was great once again! Both lines yesterday were at 150+ points and very green! I try to connect with as many of you as I can. Please feel free to message me or find me on Facebook or Twitter! I’d love chat and connect with all of you!

PITTSBURGH 2

Bryan Rust L2 & PP1
Evgeni Malkin L2 & PP1
Dominik Kuhun L2

The Sabers are in Pittsburgh this afternoon after just losing to Ottawa. The Sabers are 18-40-3 their last 61 games vs. the Penguins. PIT has dominated them. What I love most about this one are the amount of shots PIT takes. Those rack up fantasy points and no secret they turn to goals. Over/under this afternoon is at 6. 4-2 or 5-1 final tonight! PIT wins!

LAS VEGAS 2

Jonathan Marchessault L2 & PP1
Paul Stastny L2 & PP1
Reilly Smith L2 & PP2

The Florida Panthers are in Vegas tonight and the Golden Knights are huge favorites. The o/u here sits at 6.5 goals. Tied for the highest projected goal total tonight. FLA goalie Sergei Bobrovsky gave up 5 goals on 40 shots his last time out. Vegas is riding a 4 game winning streak while FLA is 0-6 their last six games against winning teams. Both teams need to pick up the pace for a playoff push but Vegas scores 3 or 4 times tonight! I’m “ALL IN” on Vegas tonight!

NEW YORK RANGER 2

Artemi Panarin L2 & PP1
Ryan Strome L2 & PP1
Jesper Fast L2

The San Jose Sharks are in New York tonight. SJ is only scoring 2.4 goals a game while NYR is averaging 3.3. The Sharks are 6-2 in their last 8 games with 0 rest. That recond gets blemished tonight in New York. Digging deeper, the Sharks are 1-4 their last 5 vs. NYR and 0-4 their last 4 vs. the Rangers. New York is the favorite tonight and projected at around 3.5 goals. They live up to the projection tonight and win 4-1.

TORONTO 2

William Nylander L2 & PP1
John Tavares L2 & PP1
Denis Malgin L2 & PP2

Carolina is in Toronto tonight and this one should be fun! The over/under sits at 6.5 and I see every bit of that tonight! Petr Mrazek gave up 4 goals on 35 shots his last start. While the Maple Leafs beat Pittsburgh 4-0 their last contest. What I noticed is that CAR has had some success on the second game of back-to-backs. Due to that fact I like CAR to some extent tonight. Ultimately TOR wins 4-3 or 5-4. As you know who cares who wins, its about goals and points! Stack this one heavy!!!

CAROLINA 1

Andrei Svechnikov L1 & PP1
Sebastian Aho L1 & PP1
Teuvo Teravaninen L1 & PP1

See above! Stack CAR @ TOR tonight!

MONTREAL PP2

Tomas Tater L1 & PP2
Nick Cousins L3 & PP2
Brendan Gallagher L1 & PP2
Nick Suzuki L2 & PP2
Jeff Petry (defense) L2 & PP2

MTL is in Ottawa tonight having lost 5 of their last 6. Not the biggest vote of confidence right? However they have averaged 3 goals a game. MTL has won 5 of 6 and 7 of 10 against OTT. Montreal isn’t a team people are excited to stack tonight. That’s fine with me! As you know a nice mix & match of these guys to fill your lines could pay dividends! Tatar and Gallagher are at the top of that list!

COLORADO 2

Valeri Nichushkin L2 & PP1
JT Compher L2 & PP2
Joonas Donskoi L2 & PP1

Lets show some love Colorado’s second line tonight! The Avalanche are scoring 3.6 goals a game and we all know that first line is lights out! Looking deeper into this match-up the Ducks have actually had COL number! Just a gut feeling COL2 gets loose for a few goals tonight. While COL1 is battling and toughing it out COL2 sneaks up on everyone! 4-2 or a 4-1 final tonight in Anaheim.

Here are few one offs I think we can mix and match!

Jason Zucker PIT L1 & PP2

New acquired Zucker has already made an impact! He’s been placed on the first line with Crosby and only good things can happen!

Lars Eller WSH L3 & PP2
Jakub Vrana WSH L2 & PP1

Cale Makar COL L1 & PP1

William Karlsson VGK L1 & PP2

Karl is cheap and in a sweet spot. VGK vs FLA o/u sits at 6.5 and as you read earlier I’m “ALL IN’ on Vegas tonight! He makes for an awesome one off!

The rookie stud defense-man skates with the first line AND the first power play unit! Talk about action! The exposure and upside with Maker is through the roof!

Main 2-22

As you can see I have provided BOTH a Main line as well as an After Hours sample line.

After Hours 2-22

Please play responsibility and know these lines are to be used for entertainment purposes!

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/11/20 (TWO free lines)

Last night was another fantastic night for our hockey lineups! I decided to give out an edited After Hours line right before lock at 10p. Here is that lineup…

After Hours 2/10
142.6

As you can see it finished with 146.2! Even with a 0.0 from Evander Kane! We’ve been a real heater here at DFS Cheat Sheets.

My bread and butter has always been smaller two game slates. Normally after hours. I’m happy and very proud I’ve been able to share my process with anyone who wants to listen! I’ve read all your emails and FB messages and thank you all for the kind words.

On the flip side over the past few months I’ve noticed a lot of hate and insecurity in the DFS community. I’m of the belief that the more we share and support each other the farther we can go. I’ve established some friendships and connections with random strangers around the county. The one lasting effect to these friendships is support. Always bouncing ideas around and working on a process.

I’ve never once claimed to know it all. I’ve often asked for help and have always listened. The moment I push my content as a know it all is the day I will crash and burn. Will things ever change online? Absolutely not but I sleep well at night knowing I did the best I can.

Supporting each other and sharing each others ideas can only bring more love and better ideas. This is not about our egos or individual achievements. Together we are stronger. If you don’t believe me look around at all the blossoming DFS optimizer sites. Or the strong DFS groups on Face book, Slack or Discord. It’s a group of people with like minded ideas and one common goal.

I’m no one special but please, lets share and support each other more.

Tonight is a packed NHL schedule! On Fanduel its broken down into four slates. There are as follows.

Main 7p (11 games)
Express I 8p (2 games)
Express II 830p (3 games)
After Hours 9p (3 games)

After spending the evening and this morning reading and combing over statistics these are the stacks that I’m interested in tonight!

ARIZONA 1

Taylor Hall L1 & PP1
Christian Dvorak L1 & PP1
Connor Garland L1 & PP1

Arizona gives up goals, that’s no secret. They are in Toronto tonight and we know how talented the Maple Leafs are. They’ve actually underperformed this season. The Coyotes rank 22nd overall in scoring this season so far. The over/under tonight in TOR is 6 and I see that being met and then some! ARZ is only 2-5-3 in their last 10. This entire write isn’t very flattering for the Coyotes but that’s what I love most about it. A top line that also skates on the top power play. They are perfectly priced at little to no ownership!

TAMPA BAY 2

Alex Killorn L2 & PP1
Tyler Johnson L2 & PP1
Anthony Cirelli L2 & PP2

Two heavyweights back at it on the ice tonight! Tampa may be a little tired after playing in Columbus last night. The Penguins have been consistent as it comes. They are 8th in goals scored and 5th overall in goals allowed. These two played last week Tampa Bay won and they will win again tonight. 5-2 or 4-3.

FLORIDA 2

Brett Connolly L2 & PP2
Vincent Trocheck L2 & PP2
Noel Acciari L2

Another team headed in the wrong direction. If you’ve paid attention that’s the theme here tonight. Aside from the stud teams and great line combos, we’re looking for lines that may pop to compliment the TB1s and PIT1s lines who score massive points. Florida is playing in New Jersey tonight and the Devils have played well as of late. The Devils have a good chance to put some goals in the net but the Panthers rank 5th overall in goals scored. Another sneaky play at a minimal price!

BUFFALO 1

Jimmy Vesey L1 & PP2
Sam Reinhart L1 & PP1
Jack Eichel L1 & PP1

This one is a no-brainer tonight. The Red Wings are in Buffalo tonight and hopefully you remember my mantra; STACK against DETROIT! The Red Wings have the worst road goals scored average at 2.02. Jack Eichel has 69 total points so far this season and look for him and Buffalo to steam roll the Wings tonight in Buffalo. 4-1 or a 5-1 final here.

NEW YORK ISLANDERS 2

Anthony Beauillier L2 & PP2
Brock Nelson L2 & PP1
Josh Bailey L2 & PP2

The Islanders haven’t been great on offense ranking 22nd in goals scored but they have a solid defense! Ranking 4th overall in goals against. The Flyers come to town tonight and they have played awesome in their past few games but they aren’t good enough to keep it. After the Flyers won by 5 goals their last time out they may in their emotions while the Islanders stay steady. NYI win 4-2 tonight.

LAS VEGAS 2

Paul Stastny L2 & PP1
Reilly Smith L2 & PP2
Jonathan Marchessault L2 & PP1

Vegas is the better team here. The Minnesota Wild are in the bottom portion of the NHL offensively and their defense ranks as one of the worst around and giving up the 7th most goals this season. Although in Minnesota the Golden Knights handle their business and win 5-2 or 4-3.

WINNIPEG 1

Kyle Connor L1 & PP1
Mark Scheifele L1 & PP1
Patrik Laine L1 & PP1

If you have followed Hot Puck then you know I’ve suggested the Rangers second line often. Tonight I’m all in on the Jets. The Jets have won three straight and have only given up 2 goals in each of their three games. It will be tough sledding tonight in Winnipeg for the Rangers. Stack the Jets top line and watch them win 4-2!

ST LOUIS 2

Zach Sanford L2 & PP2
David Perron L2 & PP1
Ryan O’Reilly L2 & PP2

The Blues have played poorly on the road lately. Tonight they are in Anaheim to play the Ducks. Another team and line off the radar. St. Louis has faltered on defense recently meaning this one may turn into a shoot out. For that fact I’m stacking STL2. You all know I don’t care who wins the game. Who scores goals is the selling point. Blue win on the road tonight 4-2 or 3-2.

COLORADO 1

Gabriel Landeskog L1 & PP1
Nathan Mackinnon L1 & PP1
Mikko Rantanen L1 & PP1

COLORADO 2

Valeri Nichushkin L2 & PP2
Nazem Kadri L2 & PP1
Andre Burakovsky L2 & PP2

I’m going to lump both lines into the same paragraph. It’s quite clear Colorado is the better team here. Ottawa comes to the Pepsi center this evening and I don’t think it’s going to be pretty. Colorado has the highest implied winning percentage tonight at 74.4%. The Senators have scored 2.69 goals a game while allowing 3.30 goals a game. Colorado has averaged 3.69 goals a game and tonight could be the perfect time to stack COL and both lines. Watch the goals fall and the Avalanche win 5-2 or 6-1.

EDMONTON 1

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins L1 & PP1
Leon Draisaitl L1 & PP1
Kailer Yamamoto L1 & PP1

Connor McDavid hurt his quadriceps last night thought to be a charley horse has developed into a 2-3 week long injury. As one of the best skaters in all of hockey this hurts. The beauty of DFS is to get around injuries like this. Now Edmonton has shuffled their lines and EDM1 is very much in play tonight! Stack with confidence tonight at home vs. the Blackhawks. Get better Connor!

MAIN 2/11/20

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/9/20 (TWO FREE lines)

Tonight is a nice small schedule! Three games and it’s broken down to a main and after hours.

Yesterday has come and gone and we need to move on fast in DFS. I’d consider yesterdays slate of games a success. Two of three sample lines I provided did well! Early Only absolutely smashed while Main did well in cash games. Our weakest link was After Hours.

Tonight we will keep it simple! Three games, six teams and five stacks!

NEW YORK 2

Artemi Panarin L2 & PP1
Filip Chytil L2
Jesper Fast L2

The Kings are in New York tonight and one of the worst teams in the NHL. LA is 29th in the NHL in terms of goals scored and 24th overall in goals allowed. The Rangers have scored plenty of goals and Artemi Panarin leads the team in points, goals and assists. Rangers win 4-2!

WINNIPEG 2

Nikolaj Ehlers L2 & PP2
Blake Wheeler L2 & PP1
Mason Appleton L2

WPG vs. CHI is split right down the middle in terms of projected goals. Both teams have been playing better as of late but I see a 3-2 finish here. Jet’s coming out on top. Chicago’s biggest strength right now is their defense but I see the Jets breaking through here tonight at home.

COLORADO 2

Valeri Nichushkin L2 & PP2
Nazem Kadri L2 & PP1
Andre Burakovsky L2 & PP2

Colorado will definitely be exhausted after yesterdays game vs. the Blue Jackets. The Avalanche are in Minnesota tonight and the smart money says the Wild will beat them up. We shall see! Let’s see how Colorado looks in the first period. Regardless COL is the better team and will win. 5-3 or a 4-3 final in Colorado’s favor.

CHICAGO 1

Dominik Kubalik L1 & PP2
Jonathon Toews L1 & PP1
Drake Caggiula L1

The Jets lost five games in a row to end January, Chicago being one of those teams they lost to. During that five game skid the Jets gave up 22 goals and only scored eight. The Jets have played a touch better but Chicago is still the better team at this moment.

MINNESOTA PP1

Zach Parise PP1 & L1
Eric Staal PP1 & L1
Mats Zuccarello PP1 & L1
Jared Spurgeon (defense) PP1 & L1
Ryan Sutter (defense) PP1 & L1

Main

As I said earlier Colorado should be tired and the Wild can really take advantage of that. As usual I don’t care who wins, all we need is goals!

Thanks you for reading! Here is a main line and an after hours line up and the direction I’m heading. Please use these lines responsibility. They are always to be used for fun!

Hot Pucking Stacks 2/6/20 (TWO FREE lineups)

Back at it tonight with 12 games! Tonight is broken down into four separate slates. Main, express, Express II and after hours.

We’ve taken our time here and have come up with eight different line combos. Some expensive and some cheap lines. It was very confusing at first glance but the numbers spoke to me. They told me to follow my heart!

COLORADO 1

Gabriel Landeskog L1 & PP1
Nathan MacKinnon L1 & PP1
Mikko Ratingen L1 & PP1

COLORADO 2

Valeri Nichushkin L2 & PP2
Nazem Kadri L2 & PP1
Andre Burakovsky L2

I’m going to lump both Colorado lines together in this one. They jumped off the page to me right off the bat. That first power play line is going to do some damage tonight in Ottawa.

EDMONTON 2

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins L2 & PP1
Leon Draisaitl L2 & PP1
Kailer Yamamoto L2 & PP2

Edmonton’s second line is actually ranked higher and a little better then their first line! All thanks to Leon and Ryan Nug! They both play on the first power play with Connor. That’s really what we’re after here. McDavid is at 1.49 points a game. So the trick here is to get a piece of him without his spending up on his crazy high salary.

MONTREAL 2

Ilya Kovalchuk L2 & PP2
Nick Suzuki L2 & PP1
Joel Armia L2 & PP2

Montreal is a home favorite tonight vs. the Ducks. The Canadians have a 3 goal implication tonight and I think they meet it with ease!

PHILADELPHIA 1

James van Riemsdyk L1 & PP1
Claude Giroux L1 & PP1
Travis Konecny L1 & PP1

The Flyers are another team who jumped off the computer screen at me today. The Devils are in Philly tonight and they are a massive underdog. Look for the Flyers top line to exceed their 3.4 implied goal implication. Fire up their top line with confidence!

CALGARY 2

Johnny Gaudreau L2 & PP1
Sean Monanhan L2 & PP1
Buddy Robinson L2

Back to the Calgary 2 well again! Nashville is in Calgary tonight and its completely split down the middle! Goal implications and all! Their second line is a tad pricy but could pay dividends on the power play.

BUFFALO 3

Jeff Skinner L3 & PP1
Evan Rodrigues L3 & PP2
Rasmus Asplund L3

The Red Wings are in town tonight so I wouldn’t be upset if any of you went with BUF1 and Jack Eichel. Buffalos third line is a nice way to get some salary relief.

ST. LOUIS 2

Jaden Schwartz L2 & PP1
Brayden Schenn L2 & PP1
Robert Thomas L2 & PP2

The Blues are favorites tonight at home against the Jets. They are projected win at 70% with a 3.3 goal implication. Most people will flock to the Blues first line. Best production will come from their second line.

PITTSBURGH @ TAMPA BAY

Oh boy! I’d be an idiot not to mention this one. Loaded with massive stars but all at extremely high prices. Best thing I can tell you is look for a few one offs on each 1st or 2nd line. Like Pittsburgh’s Jared McCann or Dominik Simon. Both play on the Penguins top line with Crosby and they are both under $5k.
Same principles apply for Tampa Bay. Ondrej Palat and Tyler Johnson come to mind. Both play on the Lightening second line and get some PP2 minutes. They are both under 5k as well!

Happy hunting! As always these lines are to be used for fun! Please play responsibly!
