Bottom of the Barrel Championship Sunday

Bottom of the Barrel Championship Sunday
Chris Robin

Then there were four. Just like that! Twelve quarters of football left in the 2020 season. I thought about using this space to recap the season. Intertwine the lessons we learned with some sort of philosophical twist. Felt like a lot work! The way my brain works in addition to my love for writing and we would be here for hours.

So, I thought better of it! What else could we do together this week that we have not done yet this season? To be honest, we have just about covered everything. Winning, losing, laughing, and being upset. We have covered the full range of emotions. On the last weekend of football before the Super Bowl do, we play it safe.

Absolutely not! Now is the time to go all in! The day after the Super Bowl this season you will be hoping and praying for NFL DFS action. Let us get it while we can!

When you think about Bottom of the Barrel what comes to mind? If safe and boring come up first, then I have not been particularly good this season. For some odd reason I do not think those words will come up.

Patrick Mahomes KC vs BUF (13th)(FD-$9,000)(DK-$7,600)

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

Concussion or twisted nerve? Whatever has happened seems to be clearing up. Reports all over the wire today have said Mahomes has cleared “big steps”. As it stands now the decision is out of the Chiefs hands. The NFL has protocols in place for a reason. All signs point to Pat playing Sunday vs the Bills.

Aaron Rodgers GB vs TB (22nd)(FD-$8,700)(DK-$6,500)

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers

If Aaron Rodgers is the starting QB for the Packers, then Green Bay will always be in the running for a Super Bowl. As a Detroit Lions fan, it is a touch pill to swallow. Realistically, it is the truth. In terms of Sunday, we are in for a treat.

Josh Allen BUF @ KC (20th)(FD-$8,500)(DK-$6,900)

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen

What more can we say about this kid? At this point of the season not much left I can say to gas him up. Josh Allen is the real deal and will be well worth the money on Sunday in Kansas City.

Tom Brady TB @ GB (3rd)(FD-$7,800)(DK-$6,100)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady

Vintage playoff Tom Brady. Personally, TB12 is the best playoff QB of all time. Love it or hate him Tom just flat out gets it done. Looking ahead to Sunday we finally get to see a TB vs Rodgers head-to-head playoff game. Sunday will be the fourth time these two have faced off. Tom is also 2-1 vs Rodgers but those have all been regular season games.

Chad Henne KC vs BUF (13th)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,000)

Kansas CIty back-up QB Chad Henne

Just in case! Never know!

Aaron Jones GB vs TB (1st)(FD-$8,000)(DK-$6,500)

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones

Are we done fading Aaron Jones yet? I have never understood the rationale behind leaving AJ behind. Putting him down and passing on him week-after-week. Jones fell one yard shy of hundred last weekends but ripped off a 60-yard run to begin the second half. I would be willing to bet a large portion will be fading Jones again this weekend. People see Tampa and where they rank against RB’s and do not think twice, fade. Not me and you should not either.

Leonard Fournette TB @ GB (27th)(FD-$7,200)(DK-$5,300)

Tampa Bay RB Leonard Fournette

Leo has looked fantastic so far in the playoffs. He is seen thirty-six total carries for 159 yards, caught nine passes from ten total targets and has scored twice. Even with Rojo active last weekend Fournette still found the endzone. Fournette still carried the ball 17 times. Fournette still saw six targets. Leonard win be a busy beaver Sunday in Green Bay!

Clyde Edwards-Helaire KC vs BUF (22nd)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$5,000)

Kansas City Chiefs rookie RB Clyde Edwards Helaire

At the time of this publication, Wednesday, Clyde did practice today. Although a “light day” as coach Andy Reid said it is still a positive step. Thursday the 21st is the big full speed practice day for KC. Keep an eye out for CEH in practice reports this week. We will revisit on Sunday morning.

Darrel Williams KC vs BUF (22nd)(FD-$6,000)(DK-$4,800)

Kansas City Chiefs RB Darrel Williams

If the aforementioned CEH is deemed inactive then here is your guy! D-Will looked great last weekend vs the Browns. Out carrying Bell 17:3 and assuming lead back duties. At this point of the season, I do not see Andy Reid changing much.

Devin Singletary BUF @ KC (24th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$4,500)

Buffalo Bills RB Devin Singletary

To be fair the Bills really have reason to rush the ball, at all. You would think that would paint them into a corner, but they have made it this far! You can expect around six or seven carries along with three or four receptions. It is a safe floor, but it is a low one. Plan accordingly.

Ronald Jones II TB @ GB (27th)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$4,600)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones II

What if I told you about my idea to roster BOTH RoJo and Fournette on Sunday? Here me out! The temperature in Green Bay at kick-off will be around 28 degrees and about a 50% chance of snow. Tampa would be wise to use both backs in a 50/50 split. Each one stays active. Each one stays warm.

Jamaal Williams GB vs TB (1st)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$4,400)

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams

From my own personal game script, I would expect J-Will see a healthy amount of work Sunday. Not so much a 50/50 split like RoJo/Fournette but enough to make him viable in a pinch. Or to save money elsewhere in our lines.

Mike Evans TB @ GB (3rd)(FD-$6,600)(DK-$5,800)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans

Evans is not in the normal price range for Bottom of the Barrel. It is Championship Sunday! No time to get cute and the exact time to pull out all the spots! There are only four teams left standing! We must spend up in spots! Mike Evans is constantly overlooked yet all he does is dominate in the endzone and score touchdowns. Kevin King and Jaire Alexander will be roaming around opposite Evans on Sunday but so will Gronk, Godwin, Brown and Brate. Something must give!

Antonio Brown TB @ GB (3rd)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$4,700)

Tampa Bay Bucs WR Antonio Brown

Luckily, AB did not sustain any serious damage to the knee injury suffered last weekend. His MRI scan was clean, and he is day-to-day. Given the importance of Sundays game I would like to think AB will do all that he can to be out there. I would not make it a priority to roster him. More like a wait and see. Wait and see where your roster build takes you.

Allen Lazard GB vs TB (24th)(FD-$5,700)(DK-$4,200)

Green Bay Packers WR Alan Lazard

What a great time for Lazard to find his stride! Allen caught four passes for 96 yards and a touchdown last week vs the Rams. This team at WR has been all Davante Adams and whoever else is active. Now, Allen Lazard is finally pulling his wait. Lazard is a safely deployed as a rock solid WR2 this weekend.

Marquez Valdez-Scantling GB vs TB (24th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$3,900)

Green Bay Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Week-to-week who will it be? After Adams is it Lazard or MVS? MVS or Lazard? If you buy into that logic, then Sunday it will be MVS.

Mercole Hardman KC vs BUF (4th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,000)

Kansas City Chiefs WR Mercole Hardman

Hardman was busy last weekend against the Browns. What he did worked. It worked well. So, well I am hoping Andy Reid lets it carry over on Sunday. Another four receptions and a carry would be outstanding for Mercole given his price tag.

Gabriel Davis BUF @ KC (2nd)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,500)

Buffalo Bills rookie WR Gabriel Davis

How many of you are Buffalo Bills fans? How many of you watched the Bills game last Saturday? Only reason I ask is to double check we saw the same thing. Davis was only targeted four times, but they were high upside targets. Two of them being red zone looks. The rookie tweaked his ankle last weekend and has not practiced yet this week.

Demarcus Robinson KC vs BUF (4th)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$3,700)

Kansas City Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson

It is tough trying to project what kind of work Demarcus will see week-to-week. We obviously know he is not going to be a WR1, but it is that homerun boom potential that keeps me coming back.

Tyler Johnson TB @ GB (3rd)(FD-$4,600)(DK-$3,000)

Tampa Bay rookie WR Tyler Johnson

Nothing crazy here, just a shoutout out to all you Tyler Johnson truthers!

Robert Tonyan GB vs TB (22nd)(FD-$5,700)(DK-$3,600)

Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan

Rob is a safe bet for 3-4 targets Sunday. Never a ton of yardage but always a threat to score. If a touchdown dependent tight end is always scoring touchdowns does that make him touchdown dependent?

Rob Gronkowski TB @ GB (5th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$3,200)

Tampa Bay Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski

Gronk saw five targets last weekend but was only able to reel one in. Sunday in Green Bay he should have his way with the Packers linebackers. Clearly a miss-match let us fire up Gronk in hopes of a playoff-Gronk type performance.

Cameron Brate TB @ GB (5th)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,000)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate

Cam saw five targets just like Gronk, yet he caught four of them. I have this odd feeling one of these Tampa tight ends is going to score twice. Obviously, I do not know which one. So, I am going to make duplicate lines just swapping out Gronk for Brate and Brate for Gronk! Make sense?

Dawson Knox BUF @ KC (30th)(FD-$4,700)(DK-$2,800)

Buffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox

Knoxy Knoxy Knoxy, what do we do with you? Dawson is low-end TE2 but his QB is Josh Allen. That alone is enough for me to roster him. Hard hitting analysis, I know. It has been a long season! What more do you want from me?

Mardedes Lewis GB vs TB (22nd)(FD-$4,300)(DK-$2,500)

Green Bay Packers TE Marcedes Lewis

Let us not get crazy. This may Marcedes’ last hoorah as a professional football player.

Here are some of my sample lines I am going to use for Championship Sunday! Keep in mind these lines are for entertainment purposes! Please play responsible!

Bottom of the Barrel Divisional Round

Bottom of the Barrel Divisional Round
Chris Robin

Are you superstitious? What extremes have you gone to ensure your team wins? After Wild Card weekend it is safe to assume Cleveland Brown fans have done the most! Praying, wearing jerseys, rubbing stones, or even bowing down to tchotchkes. Whatever the Cleveland faithful have done it is clearly working!

Up next is the Divisional Round, the final four! Meaning, there is little to no room for error. We must be damn near perfect. Which is possible if we stay the course and dig in to Bottom of the Barrel. This article is not the end all be for DFS value plays, but it has been unbelievably effective all season. You have trusted me, and the continued support only makes me work harder. No time to let up now. Let us finish strong!

This article started as a never-ending quest for daily fantasy football advice but in an odd way Bottom of the Barrel incorporates three ideals I practice often. Setting goals, taking risk, and reassessing my life on a weekly basis. To be successful in DFS we need to be right within as well.

It is time! It is time to start looking at our DFS lines for the Divisional round!

Tom Brady TB @ NO (7th)(FD-$7,700)(DK-$6,300)

Realistically, TB12 has shown no signs of slowing down. While Drew Brees may call is a career after this season

Tom is washed man. It is all over for him. That was cute! Now what? Playoff Tom has been activated! 381 passing yards and two touchdown passes in Tampa’s Wild Card win Saturday.

Baker Mayfield CLE @ KC (25th)(FD-$7,400)(DK-$5,300)

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield

Cleveland does not stand a chance in Kansas City on Sunday, right? Not so fast! The Browns completely laid waste to the Steelers, at Heinz Field nonetheless, on Sunday. Momentum in professional sports is a real thing! The Browns have some major momentum and a ton of confidence right now! It cannot be denied. CLE @ KC also has the highest over/under of the weekend at 56. You are going to want a piece of this game!

Let’s not forget when Baker and Mahomes played against each other college!

Drew Brees NO vs TB (19th)(FD-$7,300)(DK-$5,600)

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees

Another seemingly done noodle arm QB, Drew Brees, got it done last weekend. Now the Saints turn their attention to TB12 and the Tampa Bay Bucs. As a divisional foe, Drew hung 382 total passing yards along with six total touchdowns in two games against Tampa this season. Drew Brees is cheaper source of fantasy points this weekend. Add where needed!

Jared Goff LAR @ GB (3rd)(FD-$6,700)(DK-$5,200)

Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff

Throughout the course of the season one thing has become apparent. You either love Goff or you hate him. Which side of the fence are you on? Jared was thrust into action Saturday in Seattle after an awful injury to John Wolford. Goff did enough to help his team advance and here we are.

Cam Akers LAR @ GB (27th)(FD-$7,000)(DK-$5,700)

Los Angeles Rams rookie RB Cam Akers

If I have said it once I have said it a million times, Cam is an elite level talent. What is shocking to me has been all the Hendy vs Akers chatter on social media. I rarely give my personal opinions on social media because it is just not worth the headache. In a way I let the players do their thing and we move on. Cam is seeing a ton of carries and his YPC is extremely healthy! Do not overthink, roster the rookie!

J.K. Dobbins BAL @ BUF (23rd)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$6,000)

Baltimore Ravens rookie RB J.K. Dobbins

Speaking of impressive rookie RB’s, JK is now Baltimore’s RB1. Dobbins is not necessarily racking up the yardage but’s he has been extremely efficient! Scoring a touchdown in seven straight games! Saturday in Buffalo has all the makings of a heavyweight match-up. 50-point o/u with plenty of fantasy points to go around. Please get in on the action!

Ronald Jones II TB @ NO (1st)(FD-$6,300)(DK-$5,200)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones II

RoJo missed Tampa’s Wild Card contest due to a quadricep issue. As it stands now, Jones is still uncertain for Sundays game in New Orleans. Even if he can play is worth it? With only four teams playing our room for error is very slim! A 0.0 at any position this weekend would be devastating.

Leonard Fournette TB @ NO (1st)(FD-$6,300)(DK-$4,900)

Tampa Bay RB Leonard Fournette

In Ronald Jones absence Leo carried the ball nineteen times for ninety-three yards and a touchdown. Like it or not Fournette is best play Sunday for the Buccaneers. With a little bit of Ke’Shawn Vaughn. (FD-$4,700)(DK-$4,000)

Kareem Hunt CLE @ KC (24th)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$4,800)

Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt

Kareem Hunt was outstanding last weekend in the Browns win at Pittsburgh. His talents were on full display. I would imagine Hunt will once again be heavily involved in Kansas City. The combo of Nick Chubb and Hunt have yielded amazing results. Stats and analysis are fun and particularly important but what about the eye test? Kareem sure has passed that one!

Clyde Edwards-Helaire KC vs CLE (5th) (FD-$6,100)(DK-$5,500)

Kansas City Chiefs rookie RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Cleveland is a top-10 defense vs opposing RB’s, so I am not too excited to roster him. Although the rookie RB should be well rested and ready to go. On a positive note, I would expect CEH to see some high-upside type snaps/targets.

Le’Veon Bell KC vs CLE (5th)(FD-$6,000)(DK-$5,100)

Kansas City RB Le’Veon Bell

The only issue I have here with Bell is the presumptive workload. Will he? Won’t he? The Chiefs had a first-round bye obviously and now CEH should be back and ready to go! Best to use the wait and see approach with Bell this week.

Gus Edwards BAL @ BUF (23rd)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,200)

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards

Baltimore had their way with the Titans on the ground last weekend. Two hundred- and thirty-six-yards rushing yards to be exact. The rushing yards and carries start with Lamar then Dobbins then Gus. One good thing here is the definite pecking order. It is a perfect situation for DFS players like us. There is a safe floor with massive TD upside for Gus this week. Edwards price is too sweet to pass up on in large tournaments this weekend!

Latavius Murray NO vs TB (3rd)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,300)

New Orleans Saints RB Latavius Murray

Murray has been a nice RB complimentary roster filler all season. Why would that change now? Much like Gus Edwards, you know what you are getting from Latavius each week.

Jamaal Williams GB vs LAR (2nd)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$4,400)

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams

It is getting harder and harder to roster Jamaal. It is even tough to discuss why we should roster Williams in DFS formats. That coupled with an extremely difficult matchup this week vs the Rams make for an easy decision, just do not. Do not add Jamaal to your DFS teams this weekend. Then in the same breath that makes me want him more. Low ownership and all. I know, it is a sick hobby we have chosen.

Jarvis Landry CLE @ KC (2nd)(FD-$6,900)(DK-$5,600)

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry

Dang! Landry has looked fantastic as of late! Finding the endzone in four times his last six games. Again, stats and analysis will only get you far. Can we all agree the Browns are on one, right? They have some major momentum and are hitting on all cylinders. It is just too heavy to pass up on. Landry needs to be on out DFS teams this weekend.

Antonio Brown TB @ NO (19th)(FD-$6,400)(DK-$5,400)

Tampa Bay Bucs WR Antonio Brown

Obviously, I would prefer Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but their price is not exactly B&B material. AB has clearly built a rapport with TB12 and will continue to see his targets and touches. Although his role has been limited as of late it is best to think ahead and predict a game script. This game has the potential to be a 28-24 final. Or even 35-31. You will want several pieces of this one!

Cooper Kupp LAR @ GB (3rd)(FD-$6,100)(DK-$5,300)

Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp

Kupp is ok! Kupp is going to play Saturday in Green Bay. Cooper has bursitis in his knee and will be limited in practice this week. Do not let that deter you from rostering him this weekend. Who knows how the coverage of the Rams WR’s is going to shake out? The idea of the Alexander treatment mixed with his swollen knee just might scare enough people away from Kupp giving those of us who roster him a leverage advantage!

Gabriel Davis BUF vs BAL (5th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$4,000)

Buffalo Bills rookie WR Gabriel Davis

Word is out! Yet, Gabe’s price on both formats have not really caught up. That is a perfect storm in my eyes! Davis has seen at least four targets their last seven games. While Gabe’s snap count decreased with the return of John Brown how long will that last? May I ask you all a serious question? Who are the Bills WR2 now? Go ahead, answer open and honestly!

Allen Lazard GB vs LAR (1st)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$3,900)

Green Bay Packers WR Alan Lazard

Lazard has not done much recently. Allen has topped three receptions or twenty yards his last two games. He has not even recorded anything over sixty yards since Green Bay played New Orleans at the end of September. So why should we consider Allen Lazard this week? Green Bay at home in a late afternoon playoff game is too sweet. Aaron Rodgers has been playing at an MVP rate and will do simply fine spreading the ball around. Davante Adams will be busy lined up against Jalen Ramsey forcing Rodgers to be surgical and methodical Saturday. I like that idea!

Rashard Higgins CLE @ KC (2nd)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,100)

Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins

If you remember correctly Cris Collingsworth said during the CLE @ PIT broadcast Sunday night how enamored Baker is to Higgins. So, I investigated it. Rashard has seen twenty-five targets his last four games. In order of games, it has gone 7, 3, 5 and 10 targets wise. It is something we need to pay attention to Sunday in Kansas City.

Deonte Harris NO vs TB (24th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$3,500)

New Orleans Saints WR Deonte Harris

Fresh off the IR Harries lead the Saints in receptions and receiving yards. While tying in targets. Do I expect this to happen again vs Tampa Bay on Sunday? Absolutely not but I would rather be safe then sorry. Again, small slate equal extraordinarily little wiggle room for error. Harris is safer rostered this weekend than not!

Mercole Hardman KC vs CLE (28th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$3,900)

Kansas City Chiefs WR Mercole Hardman

Adding Hardman in our lines this weekend is a tough sell. Yet realistically it is not a horrible decision. Once again, has everything to do with the game script, the defense, and the projected point totals.

Equanimeous St. Brown GB vs LAR (1st)(FD-$4,700)(DK-$3,000)

Green Bay WR Equanimeous St. Brown

Nothing special to say here. Just the fact I believe Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers have their way with the Rams on Saturday. This one could wind up where Rodgers distributes the ball so well every single WR gets in on the fun. Just a thought.

Robert Tonyan GB vs LAR (17th)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$4,200)

Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan

Tonyan catches touchdowns. That is what he does. That is, it. End of blurb.

Rob Gronkowski TB @ NO (26th)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$3,600)

Tampa Bay Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski

Playoff Gronk has yet to make an appearance. Rob gave us a steaming pile of 0.0 last weekend. Was it game flow? Was it match-up based? Whatever it was I do not expect it to continue this weekend in New Orleans. Yet, I passionately believe Gronks 0.0 performance is still fresh enough to push DFS players away this weekend. Just in time for a two-touchdown celebration on our rosters!

Jared Cook NO vs TB (21st)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$4,000)

New Orleans Saints TE Jared Cook

There he is! Again! Cook tied for the team lead in targets (7) last weekend and yet I have not heard a peep about him. Am I comfortable playing Jared this week vs the Bucs? I am fully fading on Fanduel, but he is a full send on Draftkings this weekend. All pricing related.

Austin Hooper CLE @ KC (30th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$3,800)

Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper

Hooper has picked up the pace in terms of production. He caught 7-of-11 targets Sunday night in Pittsburgh. Let us not get overzealous though, all Browns players got in on the fun. Austin has seen a whopping 31 targets in the last three games and has gone over at least 10.5 fantasy points during that time.

Tyler Higbee LAR @ GB (5th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$3,000)

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee

Please do not play Tyler Higbee this weekend. Only reason I added him in this space is to finally close my personal folder on him. He has been the odd man out what looks like all season. The fact he is over $5,000 on Fanduel is laughable.

Dawson Knox BUF vs BAL (7th)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,100)

Buffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox

Despite popular belief, Dawson Knox is now a thing. No way around it folks. The Buffalo Bills are humming on offense and we should stake claim to as many pieces of this offense as possible! Knox is no exception!

Cameron Brate TB @ NO (26th)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$2,900)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate

Brate caught four of six targets for eighty yards in Wild Card weekend. Is there a chance it is going to be Gronk or Brate each week? Back and forth? Who knows, that sounds exhausting. Just keep an eye out when you are building lines for the divisional round. The potential and the price are ripe for the picking!

Harrison Bryant CLE @ KC (30th)(FD-$4,400)(DK-$2,500)

Cleveland Browns rookie TE Harrison Bryant

Shot in the dark here. Harrison was not target Sunday night vs Pittsburgh after being activated from the COVID-IR. He only played 22 snaps as well. It is obvious why; the entire team was dealing with COVID scares and quarantines. It is no secret I normally punt the TE spot and Bryant is on my radar as a flyer!

Bottom of the Barrel WK17

Bottom of the Barrel WK17
Chris Robin

How fast has this season gone by to you? In most cases week 17 is easier to navigate then other weeks during the season. Playoff spots are locked up. Several good players are rested in preparation of the actual NFL playoffs. Thus, creating massive value with backup players!

It has been a wild season. So many ups and so many downs yet we’ve made it.

Let me swift through this week for you! Patrick Mahomes has already been given the day off! So has Ben Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh. Going to be an odd Sunday!

What’s shocking is the fact I keep writing “new feature” in Bottom of the Barrel to mention the most expensive player at each position. Yet here we are, last week of the regular season. That is how fast this season has gone!

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams

Here are some cheaper options I like at WR this week!

Nelson Agholor LV @ DEN (12th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$5,400)

Las Vegas Raiders WR Nelson Agholor

Russell Gage ATL @ TB (20th)(FD-$5,700)(DK-$5,400)

Atlanta Falcons WR Russel Gage

Jakobi Meyers NE vs NYJ (22nd)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$5,000)

New England Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers

Sterling Shepard NYG vs DAL (28th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$5,200)

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard

Zach Pascal IND vs JAX (24th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$4,200)

Indianapolis Colts WR Zach Pascal

James Washington PIT @ CLE (23rd)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$3,500)

Pittsburgh Steelers WR James Washington

Jerry Jeudy DEN vs LV (19th)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$4,200)

Denver Broncos rookie WR Jerry Jeudy

Juwan Johnson NO @ CAR (10th)(FD-$4,600)(DK-$3,400)

New Orleans Saints WR Juwan Johnson

No secret here! The most expensive tight end has been lights out all season!

Travis Kelce KC vs LAC (22nd)(FD-$8,800)(DK-$8,600)

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

Here are some cheaper plays at TE for week 17!

Trey Burton IND vs JAX (26th)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$2,800)

Indianapolis Colts TE Trey Burton

Dan Arnold ARZ @ LAR (17th)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$3,100)

Dan Connor often confused for ARZ TE Dan Arnold

Dawson Knox BUF vs MIA (16th)(FD-$4,700)(DK-$3,000)

Buffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox

Durham Smythe MIA @ BUF (30th)(FD-$4,600)(DK-$2,500)

Cameron Brate TB vs ATL (31st)(FD-$4,500)(DK-$2,900)

Nick Keizer KC vs LAC (22nd)(FD-$4,500)(DK-$3,200)

Tyler Conklin MIN @ DET (23rd)(FD-$4,300)(DK-$3,000)

Christmas Day Bottom of the Barrel

Bottom of the Barrel Christmas Day
Chris Robin

Deck the halls with some DFS calls!

Merry Christmas! Happy holidays! If you asked me over the summer what my expectations for Christmas in 2020 were, I would’ve have painted a completely different picture. We all have different ideas, goals, and passions. Yet as much as we plan life does not go accordingly.

What is your favorite Christmas memory? Pick one and let us discuss it. Let the warmness and joy fill your soul. You have earned it! Merry Christmas!

Drew Brees NO vs MIN (13th)(FD-$14,500)(DK-$10,200)

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees

On such a small slate our options are limited. It is either Drew or Kirk. To be honest, you do not have to roster either one if you choose! Drew has a safe floor here today, around 240 yards and one touchdown.

Kirk Cousins MIN @ NO (12th)(FD-$14,000)(DK-$9,600)

Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins

The Vikings are a 7-point underdog today in New Orleans. Rightfully so given the high-end performance from the Saints recently. Kirk has thrown multiple TD’s in 10-of-14 games this season. Depending on your approach today Kirk is very much in play.

Taysom Hill NO vs MIN (13th)(FD-$10,000)(DK-$6,000)

New Orleans Saints QB Taysom Hill

With Drew Brees now back as the starting QB, Taysom has been relegated back to his gadgetry ways. This is an exploitable match-up in terms of receiving work. Hill is a contrarian play only today.

Dalvin Cook MIN @ NO (1st)(FD-$16,000)(DK-$12,000)

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook

Cook has taken this Vikings team and carried them on his back! Dalvin has averaged 29.3 touches a game since week 7. Cook is an absolute workhorse in this offense in every way possible! In 84% of their games this season, Cook has averaged 20+ touches. Personally, I have Cook around 130 all purpose yards and a touchdown.

Alvin Kamara NO vs MIN (16th)(FD-$15,000)(DK-$11,400)

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara

Hallelujah! Amen! With Drew Brees back as their QB1 Alvin’s workload has returned to normal! The Vikings made David Montgomery look like an All-Pro in week 15. Full speed ahead for Kamara! I have Alvin for around 120 all purpose yards and a touchdown.

Latavius Murray NO vs MIN (16th)(FD-$8,500)(DK-4,800)

New Orleans Saints RB Latavius Murray

If you roster Cook and Alvin, you will notice your total average for spending elsewhere takes a huge hit. Murray makes for a nice complimentary piece today.

Ameer Abdullah MIN @ NO (1st)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$200)

Minnesota Vikings RB Ameer Abdullah

Ameer is nothing more than a lineup filler today. The Vikings love to run, run, and run yet Ameer is an afterthought. I do not expect Abdullah to see more than four total targets this afternoon but hey, if you are max entering all options are on the table!

C.J. Ham MIN @ NO (1st)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$200)

Minnesota Vikings RB C.J. Ham

Ham plays a bigger role in this Minnesota offense then we give him credit for. He is a huge reason why Cook can find room week after week. CJ does have the questionable tag so be mindful of that. I could see a case where the Vikings coaching staff lets Ham punch one in at the goal line as a thank you and Merry Christmas!

Alexander Mattison MIN @ NO (1st)(FD-$7,000)(DK-$2,000)

Minnesota Vikings RB Alexander Mattison

Mattison will not play on Christmas. He was just downgraded to OUT due to a concussion.

Mike Boone MIN @ NO (1st)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$200)

Minnesota Vikings RB Mike Boone

The only way Boone would be a viable option is if Ham were ruled out along with Mattison. This game has all the makings of a 25+ carry game from Dalvin Cook. Again, in massive tournaments we must think of everything!

Justin Jefferson MIN @ NO (19th)(FD-$12,500)(DK-$9,200)

Minnesota Vikings rookie WR Justin Jefferson

Now we are talking! The rookie has turned it on as of late seeing double digit targets in three of his last four. Two 100 yard receiving games his last three. Is Justin now the WR1 in Minnesota?

Adam Thielen MIN @ NO (19th)(FD-$12,000)(DK-$8,600)

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen

Adam has been disappointing as of late in terms of receptions and yardage, yet he is still finding the endzone. Thielen has already set a career high in touchdown receptions (13) and will give our teams that WR2 upside. I have no issue stacking Justin/Adam today!

Emmanuel Sanders NO vs MIN (27th)(FD-$10,500)(DK-$8,800)

New Orleans Saints WR Emmanuel Sanders

In the absences of star wideout Michael Thomas, Sanders has become a viable option at WR and even a safety blanket for Drew Brees. The Vikes have given up the 6th most fantasy points to opposing WR’s on a per game basis. I find Manny Sanders to be a must start this afternoon.

Tre ‘Quan Smith NO vs MIN (27th)(FD-$7,500)(DK-$6,400)

New Orleans Saints WR Tre’Quan Smith

Smith will be inactive today with an ankle injury.

Chad Beebe MIN @ NO (19th(FD-$6,000)(DK-$1,800)

Minnesota Vikings WR Chad Beebe

The Minnesota Vikings offense goes through Cook, Jefferson and Theilen leaving only the scraps for a guy like Beebe. When building your lines and being left with no cash I would still fade Chad. If you are looking to punt a roster spot look elsewhere.

Lil’Jordan Humphrey NO vs MIN (27th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$2,600)

New Orleans Saints WR Lil’ Jordan Humphries

My new favorite name! No Michael Thomas. No Tre ‘Quan Smith. Targets must go somewhere!

Juwan Johnson NO vs MIN (27th)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$2,200)

Saints WR Juwan Johnson

Johnson was on the field for 42 offensive snap last week. Most he is played all season. At this point of the article, I am sure you are aware a guy like Johnson is not going to explode but he can play a major role in a big GPP.

Marquez Callaway NO vs MIN (27th)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$200)

New Orleans WR Marquez Callaway

Callaway was activated from IR Thursday swapping spots with Tre-Quan. His price on DraftKings is just flat out ridiculous! Stack studs then roster Marquez!

Jared Cook NO vs MIN (10th)(FD-$9,500)(DK-$5,600)

New Orleans Saints TE Jared Cook

I cannot be the only that thinks Cooks might go nuts today right? For several weeks now we have all written off Jared. In seasonal formats we are looking elsewhere. I will not have 100% exposure, but I will hedge some bets with Cook just in case!

Irv Smith Jr. MIN @ NO (19th)(FD-$7,500)(DK-$5,200)

Minnesota Vikings TE Irv Smith Jr.

It is next to impossible trusting a Minnesota tight end but of their grouping I would turn to Irv Jr. His price point is just around where we would expect. Look for Irv to see four or five targets today.

Kyle Rudolph MIN @ NO (19th)(FD-$7,000)(DK-$2,400)

Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph

Rudolph is OUT for week 16 with a foot injury.

Tyler Conklin MIN @ NO (19th)(FD-$6,000)(DK-$3,000)

Minnesota TE Tyler Conklin

In the absence of Kyle, I find Tyler to be the best value at tight end today. If he catches another touchdown pass everybody will be checking their lines and looking around and saying, “I had him in my line but took him out last minute!” Conklin makes for a nice punt/lineup filler.

Josh Hill NO vs MIN (10th)(FD-$6,000)(DK-$200)

New Orleans Saints TE Josh Hill

There is absolutely no reason to roster Josh Hill today.

Adam Trautman NO vs MIN (10th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$1,000)

New Orleans Saints rookie TE Adam Trautman

The Saints have revived the corpse of Jared Cook thus suppressing any work from Trautman.

Here are two of my sample lines I am going to use on Christmas Day! Keep in mind these lines are for entertainment purposes! Please play responsible!

NFL Playoff Predictor

Playoff Predictor
Samuel Gebhart

Another Week come and gone and my second to last installment of my NFL Playoff predictions are here with lots of changes to both conferences as well as some new fantasy player value changes. Let me know what you think, and if this is the playoff bracket you could see going down!

Fantasy Value Up: ↗
Fantasy Value Down: ↘
Fantasy Value No Change: −

1. Detroit Lions: 25 v Tennessee Titans: 46

Detroit bit the big one weeks ago. Yet still could not contain Derrick Henry on Sunday.

Derrick Henry once again reminded us why he is the king, and Ryan Tannehill lit up the skies simultaneously throwing for 273 yards and 3 pass touchdowns finally dethroning anyone who claims Tannehill is riding on the coat tail of Henry. (including myself) The Ball was spread around a lot, and though he didn’t throw the ball a lot, he was deadly accurate making multiple deep passes count. Despite their run heavy game, Tannehill has been relatively steady in his production and remains a top 10 option moving forward. There’s not too many negatives about this Tennessee offense, all of their starters ought to be reliable floor streamers week in and out with the exception of Jonnu Smith and 3rd team receivers who tend to have dry spells since Vrabel’s game script is generally pretty run heavy when the Titans lead by halftime.

As for the Lions, DFS stacks involving Stafford and one of his receivers continue to please. The battered yet determined Stafford is a once of kind leader, and one we don’t see too often, routinely playing through various injuries, his performance is remarkable, however he remains a fringe fantasy play especially for those in the championship game. Much like the Titans, this Lions team is starting to move to the ground game as its primary means of attack. D’andre swift has effortlessly cemented his role as lead back and continues to fill in with the help of legendary future hall of famer Adrian Peterson. However, Detroit fantasy owners should be weary of starting anyone on the ground against Tampa Bay in week 15 and their brick wall run defense. Look to Stafford to air it out again, especially to Hockenson and Marvin Jones who dominated his target share against Tennessee

D’andre Swift ↗ Derrick Henry ↗
Adrian Peterson − AJ Brown ↗
Marvin Jones ↗ Corey Davis −
TJ Hockenson − Jonnu Smith ↘

2. LA Rams: 20 v NY Jets: 23

Jared Goff and the LA Rams were the laughing stock of the league after losing to New York Jets.

For the first time in the 2020 season the Jets have a win, and they earned it against one of the best defenses in the league, nonetheless. Unfortunately for Jets fans this does not come with too much excitement given they’ve since been pushed back in first round draft placement. Honestly…I wouldn’t think too much of it. Teams have down weeks sometimes, this one probably the result of “easy opponent” mindset. You can best believe that Sean McVay and co will tighten up all ends of their game plan as they coast into playoff contention. However, this fault in the chemistry and overall lack of explosiveness on offense is enough for me to rethink their playoff potential. If it is enough for a team like the Jets to expose, its enough to keep you out of the race for a ring. Oh boy was it was embarrassing.

Despite the win, Sam Darnold and company really did not get much going on offense. Sam threw only his 6th passing TD and garnered another fumble too. Frank gore got a TD on the ground, but that was a fluke score. Both teams played very modest and un-interesting games. Fans on both sides went home upset. Quite frankly, in terms of fantasy I’d say its best to pretend like this game didn’t even happen. Most of these guys are desperation plays anyways and if you’re on your way to the championship you probably have some better options.

Sam Darnold ↘ Jared Goff −
Frank Gore − Cam Akers −
Jamison Crowder − Robert Woods ↗
Denzel Mims − Cooper Kupp ↗
Chris Hogan ↘ Tyler Higbee −
Christopher Herndon ↘ Gerald Everett −

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 31 v Atlanta Falcons: 27

The Atlanta Falcons once again could not seal the deal. As Tampa Bay overcame at 17 point deficit to win on Sunday.

Down by 17 late in the game, this victory by Brady seemed all too familiar. Granted this was just a regular season divisional game and not the Super Bowl. Nevertheless, the Falcons easily exposed Tampa’s holes and rose to 24-7 before Tom Brady once again proved to us why he has earned the title “The Goat”. Now 43, Tom Brady has put the Buccaneers In the fight for what would be his 10th title run. Despite the Falcons pitfalls, both Matt Ryan and Brady shared similar passing stats and should maintain their pace of airing it out as both teams routinely play from behind.

Leonard Fournette filled in well for the COVID/Reserve designated Ronald Jones. But fantasy owners should expect Lenny to take a back seat when Ronald Jones returns. The expectation crushing Todd Gurley was also irrelevant, and interim Falcons HC Raheem Morris alluded to Ito Smith being the premier back from here on out too. Lots of mix ups late in the season, certainly not the last for this team going into the off season. For now, the array of passing threats from both teams remain top streaming options. Both quarterbacks throw the ball frequently, accurately, ensuring a modest game from nearly every 1st and 2nd team passing option even at their floor.

Tom Brady ↗ Matt Ryan −
Ronald Jones ↗ Todd Gurley ↘
Leonard Fournette ↘ Ito Smith ↗
Mike Evans ↗ Julio Jones −
Chris Godwin ↗ Russell Gage −
Antonio Brown − Calvin Ridley ↗
Scott Miller − Hayden Hurst −
Rob Gronkowski −

Here’s to a fantastic holiday season!

Bottom of the Barrel SATURDAY edition

Bottom of the Barrel Special Saturday Edition
Chris Robin

We’ve had Monday night football, Tuesday night football, Wednesday football, Thursday football and of course Sunday football. Now we have Saturday night football! What a treat! The season hasn’t gone accordingly to plan but we’ve had a season. That’s the most important thing.

I have always been partial to NFL football on Saturday’s. When you’re a child with no real responsibilities everyday is Saturday. As an adult with nothing but responsibilities it’s quite different. Watching professional football on Saturday instantly makes it feel like a holiday. No where to go. No where to be and nothing to do. We can lay around most of the day and take it in while not feeling awful about it.

We are a few weeks away from Christmas and this year has been challenging to say the least. I believe you owe it to yourself to unplug this Saturday and rest. Take the day to recharge and recoup. I’m aware one day and two football games isn’t going to undo all the stress and anxiety that is 2020 but we must start somewhere.

Bottom of the Barrel has always been for the low-owned and cheaply priced players. The special Saturday edition is going to be a tad different. With only four teams playing our options are limited when compared to a full 10+ team slate. Let’s call this a full slate discussion. Even better, a full slate dissection!

Aaron Rodgers GB vs CAR (21st)(FD-$9,200)(DK-$7,300)

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers at home in December is a different breed! We’ve seen a vintage Aaron Rodgers in 2020. 3,685 passing yards with 39 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. He’s been unbelievable in tandem with stud WR Davante Adams. Noting witty to say here. We all know what to expect for Rodgers on Saturday. I’m going to say 260 yards and 3 TD passes vs CAR.

Josh Allen BUF @ DEN (19th)(FD-$8,400)(DK-$7,200)

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen

After sitting down to write the notes for this article I thought it was easy. It was a breeze. Then when I sat down to type this out and come up with my projections and fun fancy blurbs I was stumped! If you’ve read B&B at any point in the season, then you know I never mention the studs! This article is nothing but studs! It’s a very odd thing! What do I say? What do I do with my hands? The Denver Broncos are middle of the pack defensively but when it comes to QB they are allowing 18 or more points to QB’s so far in 2020. Oh boy.

Teddy Bridgewater CAR @ GB (5th)(FD-$7,300)(DK-$5,200)

Carolina Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater

Realistically, there is little to no reason to pivot off Rodgers and Allen. Yet what’s the point of this article if it was that simple? You know me better then that! Teddy playing in GB Saturday night isn’t the direction our DFS lines should go. The Packers are holding opposing QB’s to the fifth-fewest points per game. When it comes to DFS I’m nuts and sometimes borderline crazy. Only reason to roster Teddy B is for salary relief. Which doesn’t really make sense give the small slate. Unless you’re maxing out GPP’s on Saturday steer clear of Bridgewater.

Drew Lock DEN vs BUF (24th)(FD-$6,800)(DK-$5,000)

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock

What’s odd is the fact I’d prefer Lock over Teddy. Want to know why? It’s simple! The propensity for a higher upside game is there. Teddy and his ceiling are completely capped in GB. While Lock is fresh off a career high in touchdowns (4) and a seasonal high in completions over 25 yards (5). That was last week though and Saturday is a big boy math-up for the Broncos and Drew Lock.

Aaron Jones GB vs CAR (25th)(FD-$8,200)(DK-$7,300)

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones

Over the years of consistently playing DFS I’ve noticed sometimes it’s not always about crunching numbers and projecting DvP matchups. What I have to say here about Aaron Jones is very elementary. Jones was projected off the charts in Detroit in week 14. He did find the endzone, but it wasn’t the slate breaking performance we expected. For that simple fact I’m projecting Jonesy to go crazy Saturday at home. It’s just screaming to me! I can’t shake the thought of a three-touchdown game. Do with that what you will.

Mike Davis CAR @ GB (28th)(FD-$7,400)(DK-$6,500)

Carolina Panther RB Mike Davis

Another case of projections and crunching DvP numbers, Mike Davis is the second highest priced RB on Saturday. When I’d prefer MG3. Over the past few days, I’ve seen some very spirited tweets regarding Davis. I had no idea being a Mike Davis loyalist was a thing. Who am I to judge? Last I checked this is America and you’re allowed to do as we please! On paper the match-up is fantastic! The Packers give up the 5th highest points to opposing RB’s. I’m not putting Mike down or telling you to fade. Promise. Let’s just temper our expectations.

Melvin Gordon III DEN vs BUF (16th)(FD-$6,000)(DK-$5,200)

Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon III

Before we get into Melvin Gordon just know I know. I know him and Phil Lindsay are just about splitting work. If I may have a moment of your time, I’d like to discuss why I’d prefer MGIII this week. So, in week 14 MG3 had 16 total touches compared to Phil’s 11. Yet Gordon recorded six total first downs last week. MG3 is clearly the preferred red zone and goal line back. Not to mention offers more, way more, upside in the passing game. In a game that will be closer than most expect, I wouldn’t be shocked to see upwards of 18+ total touches.

Devin Singletary BUF @ DEN (23rd)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,100)

Buffalo Bills RB Devin Singletary

At the start of the season we were left scratching our heads in terms of who the heck to use. Fast forward to week 15 and we’re right back where we started. Your guess is as good as mine in terms of who see’s more work in Denver on Saturday. If you’re asking me, I’d choose Devin here cause he’s cheaper.

Zack Moss BUF @ DEN (23rd)(FD-$5,700)(DK-$4,500)

Buffalo Bills rookie RB Zack Moss

I could be lazy and tell you to see Devin Singletary blurb but that would be rude. The only positive I can pluck here is the fact Denver’s defense usually gives up close to 100 yards a game to opposing RB’s. To me, that doesn’t fly here! There isn’t one favorite back. So now what? Logically I’d think we just split it down the middle. 50 yards for Moss and 50 yards for Devin. So here we are again, back where we started.

Phillip Lindsay DEN vs BUF (16th)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$4,000)

Denver Broncos RB Phil Lindsay

There is no real reason to roster Phil Lindsay Saturday. I’m sorry to my Phillip Lindsay fans. He averaged a meager 2.4 yards a carry in Carolina last week. He has no role in the passing game. Why would you punt the RB position on such a small slate? Let’s say he scores a touchdown Saturday, which is best case scenario, I highly doubt it effects your lineup’s ability to cash. Hard pass.

Jamaal Williams GB vs CAR (25th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$4,800)

Green Bay Packers RB Jamal Williams

If you could promise me ten or more targets and touches for J-Will on Saturday, I’d be all in. Guess what? I’m all in anyways. The Packers are playing so flipping well this season it’s just fun thinking ahead to positive game scripts. I said this same exact thing last week and I’ll say it again here. Packers get ahead early in this one and they just feed both Jones and Williams. I have no issue stacking both GB running backs.

Davante Adams GB vs CAR (14th)(FD-$9,500)(DK-$9,400)

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams

C’mon now. I won’t waste your time. We both know what to do here.

Stefon Diggs BUF @ DEN (10th)(FD-$8,200)(DK-$7,900)

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs

C’mon now. I won’t waste your time. We both know what to do here. Diggs has now caught 100 passes this season. He’s been unbelievably good in his first season with Buffalo. Did you catch the story about Diggs and Allen when they play video games? No matter what their doing if one dies in Call of Duty the other drops what war their fighting to make sure they revive the other. No DFS implication. Just find it cute.

Robby Anderson CAR @ GB (5th)(FD-$6,700)(DK-$6,200)

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson

Green Bay is allowing the fifth fewest points to opposing WR’s but that doesn’t affect my opinion on rostering his Saturday. Robby currently sits at 996 receiving yards and will no doubt eclipse 1,000 yards Saturday, in Green Bay, for the first time in his career. At this point in the season, given all the awfulness of 2020 I like this. It’s a feel-good story. No issue if you have 100% exposure to Robby tomorrow.

Curtis Samuel CAR @ GB (5th)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$4,800)

Carolina Panther WR Curtis Samuel

Labeled a gadget guy, in Bottom of the Barrel early in the season, Curtis has ridden that wave and has been fantastic for real life purposes and fantasy purposes! Looking ahead to Saturday in Green Bay his versatility should serve him. Look for Curtis to catch 5-6 passes and carry the ball 2-3 times. Perfect amount of work for the price.

Cole Beasley BUF @ DEN (10th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$4,700)

Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley

Mr. Cole Beasley! You sir are a gem! The past four games Cole has seen 38 targets! On a very pass heavy offense, it’s going to be tough getting away from Beasley on Saturday. The middle of the field should his playground in Denver!

Tim Patrick DEN vs BUF (11th)(FD-$5,700)(DK-$4,300)

Denver Broncos WR Time Patrick

Timmy, Timmy, Timmy can’t you see sometimes your targets just hypnotize me! Another week another touchdown for Timmy P! Which makes six total this season. Last Sunday Tim lead the Broncos in receiving yards, snaps and routes ran. He is absolutely in the conversation as a must start Saturday given the small slate.

Gabriel Davis BUF @ DEN (10th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$4,000)

Buffalo Bills rookie WR Gabriel Davis

Hopefully you’re not getting sick of me talking about the rookie speedster Gabe Davis. Kid has been phenomenal in his first NFL season. Over the last month he’s averaging 15 air yards per target. Has scored in four of the last five games. Buffalo came out Friday to tell us John Brown will not be activated off IR for Saturday’s contest. Denver has been respectful on defense this season but the upside of Davis burning a corner once or twice Saturday is too high!

Allen Lazard GB vs CAR (14th)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$4,100)

Green Bay Packers WR Allen Lazard

Since coming back from injury Lazard hasn’t fully taken over the WR2 job in Green Bay. He’s seeing several targets a game. On Saturday let’s say he sees four targets. Is that enough to consider rostering Allen Lazard? On any other team no.

KJ Hamler DEN vs BUF (11th)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$3,500)

Denver Broncos rookie WR KJ Hamler

If you believe in Drew Locks big arm then consider KJ. Although his target share isn’t as quite where we want it.

Jerry Jeudy DEN vs BUF (11th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$3,900)

Denver Broncos rookie WR Jerry Jeudy

To be used as a lineup filler on Saturday. Not expecting a huge return on price.

Robert Tonyan GB vs CAR (24th)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$4,500)

Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan

This passing game absolutely goes through Davante Adams. Yet can we call Tonyan the second favorite target of Aaron Rodgers? Let’s review and I’ll let you make the decision! Tonyan has scored a touchdown in four straight games. Tonyan has 4+ targets in seven of the last nine games. What do you think?

Noah Fant DEN vs BUF (29th)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$3,800)

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant

Fant missed last week due to an illness. Be mindful of that but looking head to Saturdays contest the Buffalo Bills are giving up the 6th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. He’s a very safe play in the Saturday only slate.

Dawson Knox BUF @ DEN (6th)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$2,800)

Buffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox

What bums me out is the fact Dawson Knox’s entire week 14 game was defined by his fumble. It’s hard to not consider any pass catching option in this Buffalo offense. Look, I’m realistic and not expecting a slate breaking type of game but at his price on both sites 40 yards on 4 receptions would be perfect.

Two other tight ends I’d consider purely as punts.

Ian Thomas CAR @ GB (7th)(FD-$4,500)(DK-$2,500)

Nick Vannett DEN vs BUF (29th)(FD-$4,600)(DK-$2,900)

NFL PLAYOFF Predictions (As of week 14)

Note from the editor,

Samuel, our graphics guy, here at DFS Cheat Sheet loves the NFL playoffs. In turn he’s going to be writing a series of playoff predictor articles each week leading up to the actual NFL playoffs! Thank you Samuel. Enjoy! – Chris Robin

One week closer! Surprisingly, nothing has changed for my outlook on the AFC. The Chiefs are still making strides across the league at every turn and should not be underestimated despite the (once perfect) record from ANY team. The NFC however is an ever-changing gauntlet of teams ready to put someone on notice on any given Sunday. With that being said… here are my thoughts on a few of the biggest matchups of Week 14, and some fantasy player value changes moving into the 2nd round of Fantasy playoffs… Tell me what you think! Who would you like to see? Could you see this Super bowl happen?

The defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs will be looking to assert their AFC dominance once again.

Houston Texans: 7 v Chicago Bears: 36

Any remaining glimmer of hope that the Texans would make it out of this season with their dignity left was finally crushed. How easy did Bill O’Brien really get off by just getting fired? It’s embarrassing. This team’s defense is embarrassing. Aside from Zach Cunningham, I’d be scared to stream anyone from it. The Offense does not look too promising anymore either. In addition to the non-existent run game, the receiving corps is on its last legs too with the recent loss of Kenny Stills and Will Fuller. Watson made it clear post game that he intends to start the last 3 games of the season, and his top 10 performances should remain consistent. Fantasy owners should expect him to put more of the game on his shoulders as he has many times before. But be weary of inexperienced receivers still establishing chemistry this late in the season. Now is no time to get cute with the lineups… You have better options.

The Chicago bears however have rejoiced with their first win in months after falling from 5-1 to 5-7 prior to this game. Now sitting at 6-7 the always-confused-QB-room is still in the fight for a wild card playoff berth. Do they get it? No, if you ask me. But that won’t stop Trubisky from being as dialed in as we’ve ever seen as he fights for a contract, and his first shot at the post season. His fantasy value, as well as David Montgomery’s especially will continue to rise as they have some favorable matchups on tap, especially for the run game.

Pittsburg Steelers: 15 vs Buffalo Bills: 26

Was this the last time Juju dances on an opposing field logo? I sure hope so. Mike Tomlin and co finally have their game script cracked for the 2nd time, maybe this time it’ll be enough to change things up. Obviously, you can’t keep making Big Ben throw 50 times a game. But given their matchups on tap, and the production from James Connor, they probably will. Speaking of which…is James Connor even in the NFL still? The last game he got more than 50 yards was week 11 against a bottom 5 Defense, and before that it was week 7. No TD’s since week 8. Hasn’t been targeted as much for passes recently. And I get it… He has been some nursing some stuff, but he is back finally, and next week’s favorable matchup for Connor does not make me feel any more confident in starting him. Meanwhile, the committee of wideouts is sure to continue seeing their fair spread of targets as Ben fights for his chance at another title before he hangs it up.

Buffalo’s story is not much different. They are one of the best teams in the league that everyone is sleeping on. Their record came to them in a different order than the steelers, but realistically they’re almost the same team. They are also not really running the ball that much right now. When they do, it is a committee operation. Neither can be trusted. Josh Allen looks fantastic, mobile, strong. He’s a top 5 QB right now. Stefon Diggs looks fantastic. He’s a top 5 WR right now. Cole Beasley even… in the top 25. I mean….Sean McDermott and his defensive knowledge and weapons on offense really should be raising eyebrows at this point. This is a Superbowl Contending team. All their starters are doing great. They have some tougher matchups up next that will be the real test of their will. Go with your gut. Start your studs. Bills are getting it done.

Baltimore Ravens: 47 v Clevland Browns: 42

Call it a down day for the Browns. Call it a rebound game for the Ravens. Whatever. Ravens got a lot of work to do if they want to make the post season still. And the browns once again reminded us that they’re not the browns they used to be. Ravens star RB Lamar Jackson once again lit up the back field reinforcing once again that he is not a good passer. 11 out of only 17 pass attempts were caught, but he had 2 Rushing TD’s and 124 rush yards. More than JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards combined. So… in terms of fantasy, if run game matchup looks good and Ravens O-line continues to collapse, Lamar should be good. On the flip side however, this game script renders almost every other skills player on the team irrelevant and extraordinarily boom or bust depending on TD’s. Even the likes of Mark Andrews have seen the lowest of the lows. Be careful streaming anyone but Lamar.

As for the browns, Baker Mayfield commanded another awe-inspiring performance late in the game. Throwing for 343 yards, 3 Total touchdowns, 28/47 attempts. One of only 3 games on the season with 35 or more attempts though. Granted the Baltimore pass defense isn’t all that great. They also let up 213 total yards to Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt combined, both of whom scored too. The loss of OBJ has not slowed down Baker, or the offensive powerhouse mind of Stefanski at all. And so long as Baker keeps passing TD’s, everyone should fare relatively well moving forward. He now has 3 straight games with at least 2 passing TD’s and 250 or more pass yards in each. In 12-man leagues especially, baker should be worth considering for streaming. The only 2 folks I’d be weary about are Hunt and Hooper. Hunt is back to inconsistency, just like last year behind Chubb. We expected that, and he’s only ever been a confident start against poor defenses. As for Hooper…Baker just isn’t a TE targeting man. Any Cleveland TE should be an absolute last resort.

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb

What a weekend! At this point I would hate to think I’ve lost my audience. When I’d like to think I’ve gained a bigger one! As the fantasy football playoffs are in full swing teams are dropping like flies. So selfishly I’d like to think more and more folks are turning towards DFS!

Let me be your DFS North Star! Let be your Christmas star, the star of Bethlehem! Together we can enjoy the holidays. Together we can win! I’m sure of it!

When I was a little boy, I loved getting GI Joes for Christmas. At one point I had a couple hundred. As a boy I’ve been told I was rough. I used to beat up my toys bad. Smash them, slam them and throw them. They are action figures after all. They saw plenty of action!

Below is the most expensive player at QB in week 15. Just helps me put the B&B player prices in perspective!

Patrick Mahomes KC @ NO (11th)(FD-$8,900)(DK-$7,900)

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes

Here are some cheaper options at QB in week 15 I love!

Taysom Hill NO vs KC (17th)(FD-$7,500)(DK-$6,000)

New Orleans Saints QB Taysom Hill

Kansas City strolls into New Orleans sitting at 12-1. While the Saints sure aren’t awful themselves. This has all the makings of a heavy weight boxing match. Is this a prelude to the Super Bowl? Stacking this game would be wise but let’s be smart about it! Rostering Taysom at QB is a smart move at the price.

Matthew Stafford DET @ TEN (28th)(FD-$7,300)(DK-$5,800)

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford

Let’s err on the side of caution and keep our eyes open for Detroit injury report on Wednesday. Matthew has been pretty beaten up all season. To make matters worse, he didn’t finish the game in week 14. His ribs are tender. Do the Lions hold him out rest of the season? Who knows, more to come here.

Kirk Cousins MIN vs CHI (9th)(FD-$7,200)(DK-$6,100)

Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins

As much as it pains me to say, Kirk has been a serviceable streamer all season. Compared to the Vikings match-up last week the Bears are touch lower in QB pressures, QB hits and sack percentages. Meaning Cousins could have an easier time getting the ball out to his playmaking WR’s.

Mitchell Trubisky CHI @ MIN (15th)(FD-$7,000)(DK-$5,500)

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky

Fresh off his second three TD game the last three weeks Mitch gets a plus match-up in Minnesota. Did you know throughout the past three games Trubisky has scored the ninth most points among QB’s? Mitchell is on some kind of heater here and warrants our attention in DFS formats this Sunday.

Jalen Hurts PHI @ ARZ (14th)(FD-$6,900)(DK-$5,900)

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts

The rookie got it done in week 14! Against a white-hot New Orleans Saints team too! By all accounts Jalen will remain the Eagles starting quarterback in week 15 at Arizona. To be honest I’m excited to watch Hurts and Kyler duel it out! Both are multi-talented athletes, but you can’t ignore the momentum Hurts has going for him right now.

Nick Mullens SF @ DAL (20th)(FD-$6,800)(DK-$5,100)

San Francisco 49ers QB Nick Mullens

Last I heard the 49ers head coach, Kyle Shanahan, said he’s, “considering all options at quarterback” this weekend. Which is fine. The indecision doesn’t really bother the process here. It’s more about the Dallas DST. Mullens? Beathard? Either one here is fine by me!

Alex Smith WSH vs SEA (29th)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,000)

Washington Football Team QB Alex Smith

The Washington Football is optimistic Alex will fine and ready to go Sunday at home. Looks to be just a mild calf issue. With Washington currently in first place in the NFC East I’d expect a full effort from Smith here. Alex has thrown for at least 290 yards in three of his last first games. While the Seahawks are giving up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing QB’s!

Jarrett Stidham NE @ MIA (10th)(FD-$6,100)(DK-$5,100)

New England Patriots QB Jarrett Stidham

Nothing is concrete yet but who thinks Cam Newton has played awful? Is there a chance we see Stidham Sunday? Sometimes it best to be fully prepared! Keep Jarrett in mind as you build your rosters this weekend.

Chase Daniel DET @ TEN (28th)(FD-$6,500)(DK-$5,000)

Detroit Lions backup QB Chase Daniel

In the event Matthew Stafford is inactive Sunday in Nashville Chase would step in against a very fantasy friendly defense. On Tuesday morning the Detroit Free Press claimed Stafford is highly doubtful to play Sunday. Yet no official word on his status.

Below is the most expensive player at RB in week 15. Just helps me put the B&B player prices in perspective!

Derrick Henry TEN vs DET (31st)(FD-$10,200)(FD-$9,500)

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry

Fade King Henry at your own risk. I just must ask, why in the hell would you not roster Henry in week 15? Don’t give me the chalk excuse. Don’t give me the contrarian excuse. I seriously can’t think of an excuse NOT to pay up for Derrick in week 15.

Here are some cheaper options I love at RB in week 15!

J.K. Dobbins BAL vs JAX (29th)(FD-$5,900)(DK-$5,900)

Baltimore Ravens rookie RB J.K. Dobbins

Holy crap was Monday Night Football fun this week! It sent social media into a frenzy! Poop-gate as I’ve heard it called. Anyway, to slice it JK saw the most carries. Only 13 to be specific but it was a great sign for his upcoming match-up against the Jaguars. Dobbins has now had double digit carries in three straight and five of his last six. I won’t bore you with details and numbers about how awful Jacksonville is. Get JK in your lines for Sunday!

J.D. McKissic WSH vs SEA (19th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$5,700)

Washington Football Team RB JD McKissic

Week in and week out we mention McKissic here at Bottom of the Barrel and each week he delivers. It’s quite the odd occurrence here. JD seems to be better when rookie back Antonio Gibson is active. If that’s the case in week 15 against Seattle, then I fully expect McKissic to see his targets and receptions shoot back to about ten!

Jeff Wilson Jr. SF @ DAL (27th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$5,100)

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr.

As stated above we still don’t know how the 49ers QB situation is going to shake out. Same could be said about the running backs. While I think it’s safe to assume Raheem Mostert will out-touch Jeff Wilson it won’t be by much. In week 14 the breakdown was 16-12 in favor of Raheem. Silly thought I had, let’s say head coach Shanahan is uncomfortable with the teams QB situation and uses that to feed BOTH Mostert and Wilson Jr.? If you could promise me 10+ carries for Wilson this weekend in Dallas I’d have 100% exposure and wouldn’t think twice about it. If you could promise me 10+ carries for Jeff in this one, then it’d be tough for me to say no.

Gus Edwards BAL vs JAX (29th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$4,400)

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards

The Gus Bus! Oh, how we love thee. Gus was extremely efficient with his seven carries last night. To the tune of 49 yards and two touchdowns! The match-up here goes without saying but I’m expecting it to be a free for all on offense for the Ravens on Sunday. Almost like making a casserole. Large portion of JK with a cup of Gus and a sprinkle of Justice Hill.

Latavius Murray NO vs KC (22nd)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,700)

New Orleans Saints RB Latavius Murray

Insert Taysom Hill has been awful for Alvin but good for Murray comment here. Wish I could leave it at that but it’s not true. Well in Murrays case at least. Latavius has put up two clunkers in a row now while Alvin is still doing hot RB stuff. The Chiefs are 22nd overall against opposing RB’s and the Saints are more then capable of keeping pace with Mahomes and Kansas City. I’ve always liked stacking the high over/under games from a secondary perspective.

James White NE @ MIA (11th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$4,500)

New England Patriots RB James White

I’ve made no secret about my love for James White and his roll with the Patriots. My love still blooms but his workload had faded away. Not to be rude but I believe its Cam Newtons ineptitude as of late. There is just no way Bill Belichick lets this go on much further. They’d be wise to make the switch to Stidham now before their playoff chances completely vanish.

Jordan Wilkins IND vs HOU (32nd)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$4,000)

Indianapolis Colts RB Jordan Wilkins

Wouldn’t be Bottom of the Barrel if we weren’t picking on the Houston run defense. If you noticed the Texans have grabbed back the 32nd overall ranking vs the run. Previously held by the Detroit Lions. His price on Fanduel is a little worrisome given the predicted workload. Although 40-50 yards and a touchdown are well within reach Sunday.

Justice Hill BAL vs JAX (29th)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$4,000)

Baltimore Ravens RB Justice Hill

Wouldn’t be a Ravens running back party without Justice Hill! Plenty of targets and touches to go around Sunday! How out of control would it be to enter a lineup with all three Baltimore RB’s? It would be flat nuts. Meaning, count me in!

Kerryon Johnson DET @ TEN (26th)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$4,000)

Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson

Everybody on Earth actually, whoever reads B&B on a regular basis knows this is now Swifts backfield. That’s relegated Peterson and Kerryon to meh type roles. Swift played 36 snaps on Sunday, Adrian had 17 and Kerryon saw 15 offensive snaps. Hardly what I’d call “good” looks for an RB. To be fair mentioning KJ here is my way of saying goodbye. I’m a fan of his. Kid is only 23 but has had some bad breaks and struggled staying healthy. The Detroit Lions planned accordingly. Here’s hoping next season Swift and Kerryon can become a powerful one-two punch. A Detroit Lions fan can dream right?

Ito Smith ATL vs TB (7th)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$4,000)

Atlanta Falcons RB Ito Smith

Realistically, is Todd Gurley done? Or is he just in a tough spot on an awful team? My opinion? No, he’s not done the Atlanta Falcons in general all done. Their window for winning anything of significance is officially closed. Meanwhile Ito has seized the opportunity he’s been given. I’m just going to say it, Ito Smith will receive the bulk of carries for Atlanta rest of the season. He’s finding room to produce. His 4.3 YPC is proof of that. The match-up isn’t ideal. It’s bad. Like bad. Hence the reason I like Ito in week 15! No one will give him a second look! Tampa is first overall against the run but 22nd overall against the pass. Ito finds the endzone Sunday. A reception TD!

Jeremy McNichols TEN vs DET (31st)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$4,000)

Tennessee Titans RB Jeremy McNicols

Can we all agree that Derrick Henry may have 200+ rushing yards in week 15? He’s going to absolutely destroy the Lions defense. Opening the door for McNichols to get his as well. Look at what the Titans did last week. They were up multiple scores in the second half, and it allowed Jeremy to carry the ball eleven times. If he sees that same workload, or more, he will make us all happy at the price! Think we could have a real winner on our hands here this week with McNichols.

Tony Pollard DAL vs SF (5th)(FD-$4,700)(DK-$5,200)

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard

Raise your hand if knew that Elliot received only one more carry than Tony. Wow! That many of you? To be honest I wouldn’t expect anything less from you. Zeke has some sort of calk injury he’s nursing. Keep an out for Dallas practice reports all week. Either way I’m expecting Tony to see a large portion of work in week 15.

Below is the most expensive player at WR in week 15. Just helps me put the B&B player prices in perspective.

Tyreek Hill KC @ NO (20th)(FD-$9,300)(DK-$8,800)

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill

Below are some cheaper options at WR I love this week!

CeeDee Lamb DAL vs SF (13th)(FD-$5,800)(FD-$4,500)

Dallas Cowboys rookie WR CeeDee Lamb

Lamb has reached 50 or more yards in four straight games now. It’s been a huge let down but not at all his fault. DFS is a game of opportunity and risk. He’s the farthest thing from a sure thing at this point of the season but how can you not at least take a second look? The talent with CeeDee is immense. Too good to just glance over in week 15.

Russell Gage ATL vs TB (22nd)(FD-$5,700)(DK-$4,700)

Atlanta Falcons WR Russel Gage

Gage has been outstanding the last two games. He’s had either a touchdown or 80+ yards in back-to-back weeks. He also threw a touchdown pass to fellow WR Calvin Ridley in week 14. The Tampa Bay Bucs aren’t as scary vs the pass as they are vs the run! TB has given up the 9th most receiving yards to opposing WR’s. Full steam ahead for Russell in week 15.

Jakobi Meyers NE @ MIA (18th)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$4,600)

New England Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers

Cam Newton has been awful. Are we back to Scam Newton now? Either way it’s hurt Jakobi’s production and value big time. Not all is lost though. Meyers has now entered back into B&B territory where he’s welcomed. There is just no way a WR, who was seeing a 30+% target share a few weeks back, just fades into oblivion. The time to use him is now.

Michael Pittman Jr. IND vs HOU (23rd)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$4,800)

Indianapolis Colts rookie WR Michael Pittman Jr.

The fact TY Hilton has come alive can only make life easier for the rookie WR. The targets are there, and they will continue to be there. Big game ahead for Pittman Jr. Let’s say 60 yards and a TD big?

Willie Snead IV BAL vs JAX (24th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$4,300)

Baltimore Ravens WR Willie Snead IV

I had a feeling Willie was going to go nuts on Monday night. I was wrong! Guess what? I’m going to double down on Snead IV this week. Do you think Hollywood Browns 44yd TD reception on Monday night is a definite sign of things to come or just a lucky one-off type thing? From weeks 6-11 Willie was seeing a healthy 3.6 receptions a game along with 52.4 yards a game. Willie makes for a nice complimentary piece in our DFS lines for week 15.

Darnell Mooney CHI @ MIN (29th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$3,900)

Chicago Bears rookie WR Darnell Mooney

Mooney continues to impress with whatever looks he sees. Long as Mitch is on a heater, you’d be wise to consider Darnell. Especially Sunday vs a leaky Minnesota secondary.

Michael Gallup DAL vs SF (13th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$3,500)

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup

To the untrained eye Gallup is just blah. Pedestrian if you will. Yet if you investigate it a bit more, you’ll see the targets are there. A healthier target shares then to be expected. Specifically, thirty targets total his last five games. Yet only one touchdown over that span. The work is there! Gallup should find the endzone Sunday vs the 49ers.

Mohamed Sanu DET @ TEN (30th)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$3,000)

Detroit Lions WR Mohamed Sanu

How many of you buy into the back-ups being connected? If so, then you’ll love Sanu and Chase Daniel!

Kendrick Bourne SF @ DAL (28th)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$4,100)

San Francisco 49ers WR Kendrick Bourne

Deebo Samuel hurt his hamstring very early in week 14. Now he’s on the IR and will miss the remainder of the season. After said injury Bourne wound up 2nd on the team in total targets. Which makes for an interesting storyline this week vs the inept secondary of the Dallas Cowboys.

Below is the most expensive player at WR in week 15. Just helps me put the B&B player prices in perspective.

Travis Kelce KC @ NO (19th)(FD-$8,500)(DK-$8,000)

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

If you’ve noticed by now three of the four positions are dominated by Kansas City Chiefs. They are good that’s no surprise.

Here are some cheaper options I’m rolling with at TE in week 15!

Irv Smith Jr. MIN vs CHI (26th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$3,600)

Minnesota Vikings TE Irv Smith Jr.

Irv! There you are! He finally found the endzone! After a four reception, sixty-three yard and touchdown performance Irv has us all clamoring for an encore. Will he deliver? I think so!

Cole Kmet CHI @ MIN (11th)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$3,000)

Chicago Bears rookie TE Cole Kmet

After back-to-back seven target weeks it’s quite clear who the TE1 is now in Chicago. The offensive snap counts also favor the rookie. We know his floor but we’ve yet to see his ceiling. Here’s hoping we do in week 15!

Gerald Everett LAR vs NYJ (32nd)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,100)

Los Angeles Rams TE Gerald Everett

There is no way I’m alone in thinking the Rams absolutely wail on the Jets, right? I fully expect Goff and Akers to have their way with the lowly Jets. I’m also expecting Gerald to be on the field a ton. In week 14 he played in 53 of 63 offensive snaps after playing in 60 of them in week 13. The targets aren’t there but his time on the field is. Something good will happen in this case. I’m sure of it.

Cameron Brate TB @ ATL (30th)(FD-$4,600)(DK-$2,700)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate

Cam is nothing more then a punt play each week. We just have to pick our spots! I’m picking mine this weekend against an Atlanta team that struggles to covers tight ends.

Jesse James DET @ TEN (25th)(FD-$4,400)(DK-$2,500)

Detroit Lions TE Jesse James

Maybe there is something to this whole back-up to back-up thing! Made me think, how wild would it be to stack Daniel, Sanu and James? Oof! That would be one for the record books!

Adam Trautman NO vs KC (31st)(FD-$4,300)(DK-2,500)

New Orleans Saints rookie TE Adam Trautman

Jared Cook am I right? Seemingly back from the dead. Completely screwing the rookie over. If the Saints want to keep pace with Kansas City, they may have to pull out all the stops. I almost mentioned Josh Hill instead of Trautman here but that would have been unacceptable. Who knows? Tight end has been a wasteland all season, but I do think Trautman find the endzone! His stat-line could be one reception, ten yards and a touchdown.

If you’re still reading then thank you. The support that you’ve show for me and Bottom of the Barrel this season has been incredible!

Here are two of my sample lines I’m going to use for week 15! Keep in mind these lines are for entertainment purposes! Please play responsible!

If I Had a magic wand I’d bring us all back to that one Christmas where we were coziest. Surrounding by family and friends in front of a fire. With it being just about 2021 I know the holidays aren’t what they used to be. That’s ok, its what we make of it! We need to slow down and take it all in. Stay in bed longer. Turn off your phone. Read a book with a cup of coffee. Go play in the snow. Have an extra portion at dinner. Enjoy yourself!

Here’s to a fantastic holiday season!

Bottom of the Barrel was always my first love when it came to writing. It’s what makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. As I’ve said before sometimes real life gets in the way of our fantasy lives. Bottom of the Barrel is what stopping to smell the roses is to you. It is a time for me to sit down and relax, look around and take in everything around me! I’m glad you’re here!

I’m so thankful for all of you! We’ve been on this wild ride together! What I find exciting is the fact we’re not done yet! The fantasy football playoffs are here! While the real life NFL playoffs are taking shape!

If you’re still rocking with me then thank you! More to come! Lets go dig into week 14!

As we’re accustomed to now here’s the most expensive player at QB in week 13. Should help put B&B prices into perspective!

Aaron Rodgers GB @ DET (23rd)(FD-$9,100)(DK-$7,500)

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers

Here are some cheaper options I’m considering at QB in week 14!

Matt Ryan ATL @ LAC (27th)(FD-$7,300)(DK-$5,700)

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan

Did you see what the Patriots and Cam Newton did to the Chargers in week 13? I seriously don’t know what to make of Matt Ryan anymore. Has the window officially closed in Atlanta?

Matthew Stafford DET vs. GB (6th)(FD-$7,200)(DK-$5,700)

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford

Matt went 27/42 for 402 yards and 3 touchdowns. THE LIONS ARE FREE! Free from the awful clown coach! I’m fully expecting Detroit to keep the pedal to the metal these last few games.

Philip Rivers IND @ LV (22nd)(FD-$7,000)(DK-$5,900)

Indianapolis Colts QB Phillip Rivers

What can I say about Phil that hasn’t already been said? I love the idea of this Colts team getting everyone involved! TY, JT and others! In week 13 Rivers averaged a seasonal best 8.1 yards an attempt along with a 77 percent completion rating. So far this season he’s also averaged 289.3 passing yards a game! Full speed ahead in week 14 for the Colts and Phil Rivers!

Sam Darnold NYJ @ SEA (31st)(FD-$7,000)(DK-$5,100)

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold

Did I get lucky last week mentioning Sam here? So you believe lightning can strike twice in the same spot? The match-up v SEA sure is giving me that vibe!

Daniel Jones NYG vs. ARZ (24th)(FD-$6,800)(DK-$5,500)

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones

All reports from New York are telling us Danny Dimes has a real shot to play Sunday at home vs. the Cardinals! A Cardinals team that is giving up the 11th most points fantasy points to opposing QB’s!

Mike Glennon JAX vs. TEN (28th)(FD-$6,600)(DK-$5,100)

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Mike Glennon

Jacksonville has now used three different QB’s this season. Who would you prefer? Who has been the best? Does it really matter? With Mike at QB it’s still the James Robinson show. Although a kid like Collin Johnson has been targeted heavily. The Titans DST is a favorable match-up for the Jags. Use with caution!

Jalen Hurts PHI vs. NO (8th)(FD-$6,600)(DK-$5,100)

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts

As it stands now Eagles HC Doug Pederson has yet to choose a starting QB for week 14. It would be wise for him to choose Hurts rest of the way. Keep your eyes open! UPDATE: Jalen Hurts has been named the starting QB for week 14!

Dalvin Cook MIN @ TB (3rd)(FD-$10,200)(DK-$9,400)

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook

Oh look! Cooks price has come down another $200 on Fanduel!

Here are some cheaper options I’m considering at RB in week 14!

Miles Sanders PHI vs. NO (1st)(FD-$6,200)(DK-$6,200)

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders

What gives? What the heck is Dougie P doing with Miles? It’s been awful! Its been a travesty! It just might cost Doug his job! In the meantime, Sanders price has dipped big time. So low that it can’t be ignored! The talent doesn’t match the price. The talent doesn’t match the usage. He’s worth an open and honest look in week 14 give the price.

Melvin Gordon III DEN @ CAR (25th)(FD-$6,100)(DK-$5,200)

Denver Broncos RB Melvin Gordon III

Melvin or Phil? Phil or Melvin? Again, does it really matter? Gordon carried the ball 15 times for a season high 131yds. Phil is going to get carries. So is MGIII! I just don’t see a case where we can talk bad about Melvin and his workload. On Sunday the Broncos travel to Carolina. A Panthers team that’s allowing the 8th most fantasy points to RB’s. Expect a heavy dose of Melvin.

Wayne Gallman Jr. NYG vs. ARZ (18th)(FD-$6,000)(DK-$5,700)

New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman Jr.

What an absolute treat Wayne has been this season! He saw his five game touchdown streak come to an end. Yet he’s seen 12 or more carries in five straight games! I’d fully expect Gallman Jr. to find the end zone again on Sunday! Do I hear twice?

Myles Gaskin MIA vs. KC (19th)(FD-$6,000)(DK-$5,600)

Miami Dolphins RB Myles Gaskin

Welcome back there kid! Myles looked good in his first game back after a four game layoff. Gaskin is without a doubt the RB1 for Miami. Now look, I know what you’re thinking! A tilt against the Chiefs on Sunday is a tough task. The talent is there and I’m expecting him to see around 18 total carries.

Phillip Lindsay DEN @ CAR (25th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$4,300)

Denver Broncos RB Phil Lindsay

I’ve had great success this season stacking same team RB’s! The Denver running backs are no exception! The match-up is perfect! You can count on Phil getting double digit carries. Roster BOTH Bronco RB’s and accumulate all the points!

TY Johnson NYJ @ SEA (24th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$4,700)

New York Jets RB TY Johnson

This one is crazy I know but it is Bottom of the Barrel! If father time Frank Gore can’t clear the concussion protocol by game day then it’s the TY Johnson show! What if I could promise you 20 or more carries for TY on Sunday? Would that be enough to change your mind?

Latavius Murray NO @ PHI (11th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$5,900)

New Orleans Saints RB Latavius Murray

We’ve seen the benefit of Taysom Hill at QB. We’ve also see the negative. Alvin Kamara has seen his receptions all but disappear. While we’ve seen Murray’s usage boosted big time! I want to take full advantage of this on Sunday.

Chase Edmonds ARZ @ NYG (21st)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,600)

Arizona Cardinals RB Chase Edmunds

Chase has seen his passing down work rise. In week 13 the production was awful. It was far below his seasonal average. That screams perfect timing even with Drake in the lineup!

J.D. McKissic WSH @ SF (7th)(FD-$5,300)(DK-$4,900)

Washington Football Team RB JD McKissic

Ten targets and ten receptions! JD continues to produce in PPR formats! There is just no way around anymore! If rookie RB Antonio Gibson cannot play due to a toe issue then I will seriously consider grabbing McKissic in 100% of my lines! It’s just too sweet not to! Peyton Barber will more then likely be the starting RB further hiding the talent of JD. Which we want for DFS purposes!

Jamaal Williams GB @ DET (32nd)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$6,000)

Green Bay Packers RB Jamal Williams

A receiving secondary back vs. the Detroit Lions. What more should I say? Detroit is awful against opposing RB’s. Yeah they’ve been better but Rodgers, Jones and Adams are going to absolutely wear this defense down. J-Will should see a healthy workload in this one!

Jeremy McNichols TEN @ JAX (29th)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$4,000)

Tennessee Titans RB Jeremy McNicols

Follow me here if you’d like but I think Tennessee wipes the floor with the Jags. So much so they try to preserve Henry in the second half. What do you think about Jeremy seeing 10-12 carries in the second half?

Tony Pollard DAL @ CIN (20th)(FD-$4,800)(DK-$5,300)

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard

What the heck is going on with Zeke? What’s even more shocking is the fact Dallas is still alive in the divisional race! As awful as it sounds I firmly believe the Cowboys have their way with Cincinnati on Sunday. Grind them down with Zeke and let Tony take them home!

Davante Adams GB @ DET (25th)(FD-$9,600)(DK-$9,300)

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams

Here are some cheaper options I’m considering at WR for week 14!

Allen Lazard GB @ DET (25th)(FD-$5,800)(DK-$5,000)

Green Bay Packers WR Alan Lazard

After some time away with an injury Lazard is now fully entrenched as GB’s WR2. Like it or not Aaron Rodgers is an MVP candidate and should absolutely shred the Lions defense. Look for Lazard to find the end zone Sunday in Detroit.

Michael Pittman Jr. IND @ LV (19th)(FD-$5,700)(DK-$5,000)

Indianapolis Colts rookie WR Michael Pittman Jr.

Pittman has seen fourteen total targets his last two games. Yet has only caught seven of those. The competition between him and TY as the teams WR1 is one that can benefit us all!

Keke Coutee HOU @ CHI (5th)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$5,000)

Houston Texan WR Keke Coutee

One of the fun times where we all called our Keke shot and we were all right! Coutee saw a seasonal high in receptions and a career high receiving yards in week 13. Why would that change now?

Denzel Mims NYJ @ SEA (32nd)(FD-$5,600)(DK-$4,100)

New York Jets rookie WR Denzel Mims

Dammit! Any time now Denzel! He hasn’t been off the charts good but he’s played a nice role for the tanking Jets. As his price stays around the same I’m going to keep taking shot after shot with him in my lines!

Jalen Reagor PHI vs. NO (22nd)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$4,400)

Philadelphia Eagles rookie WR Jalen Reagor

Wow! That punt return right? Is Jalen just another sub-par rookie on an awful team? Who knows! I now love the idea of Jalen Hurts starting at QB in week 14! Let’s stack both Jalen’s and call it Jalen 2 Jalen? What about 2XJalen? The Jalen Connection? Whatever you call it you heard it here first!

Russell Gage ATL @ LAC (6th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$4,500)

Atlanta Falcons WR Russel Gage

Gage caught a TD in week 13! Which is impressive given his workload this season. He remains the Falcons WR3 but I can work with that. In some odd way I think it’s better if Julio is in the lineup for Gage.

Sterling Shepard NYG vs. ARZ (20th)(FD-$5,500)(DK-$5,200)

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard

Shepard is a dang good complimentary WR. Colt McCoy is a sub-par QB. Let’s hope Daniel Jones is under center in week 14. It’s an exploitable match-up.

Laviksa Shenault Jr. JAX vs. TEN (28th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$4,100)

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Laviska Shenault Jr.

Was nice to see Laviska find the end zone again last Sunday. This kid is quick and offers a unique set of skills. The Jags should and will find ways to get in more involved at home on Sunday.

Tim Patrick DEN @ CAR (13th)(FD-$5,400)(DK-$4,200)

Denver Broncos WR Time Patrick

Get it while you can with Tim! Patrick is in a rhythm right now with Denver QB Drew Lock. The Broncos have a fantastic group of young WR’s and things are going to change for Tim and Drew very soon. This is DFS though! Who cares about the long term! Keep spending very little for Tim!

Demarcus Robinson KC @ MIA (16th)(FD-$5,200)(DK-$3,800)

Kansas City Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson

It’s hard to calculate who’s going to get the larger piece of pie in this offense. Well aside from Kelce and Tyreek that is. So in turn I like to play the calculated risk guessing game. It’s a fun game.

Collin Johnson JAX vs. TEN (28th)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$3,600)

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Collin Johnson

Mike Glennon has eyes for Collin! You should too!

Greg Ward PHI vs. NO (22nd)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,100)

Philadelphia Eagles WR Greg Ward

Jalen Hurts has eyes for Greg! You should too! See what I did there?

P.S. its true though!

Quintez Cephus DET vs. GB (7th)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$3,200)

Detroit Lions rookie WR Quintez Cephus

The Detroit Lions cut Marvin Hall. After some time they told us their reasoning! Whatever front office is left told us they would like to get some of the younger kids involved. Open it up if you will. Would you look at that! Cephus caught his first career TD in week 13! The Lions should be playing catch up all day in week 14. Meaning, Quintez should be heavily involved!

Jalen Guyton LAC vs. ATL (30th)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$3,200)

Los Angeles Chargers rookie WR Jalen Guyton

Did you know Guyton played more offensive snaps (64) in week 13 then Keenan Allen (62) and Mike Williams (59)? Not saying much seeing how the Chargers were skunked. I’ve loved this kid since day one! If you’re going to throw darts this week you’d be wise to start with him!

Travis Kelce KC @ MIA (6th)(FD-$8,200)(DK-$7,400)

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

Here are some cheaper options I’m considering at TE for week 14!

Dalton Schultz DAL @ CIN (29th)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$3,500)

Dallas Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz

Andy was harassed by the Washington football all day in week 13. This week, in Cincinnati, Dalton should have time! Dalton has caught four passes in four straight games too. As a habitual tight end punter let’s start here!

Anthony Firkser TEN @ JAX (27th)(FD-$5,100)(DK-$3,600)

Tennessee Titans TE Anthony Firkser

No idea what’s going on with Jonnu knee injury. What I can tell you is I love the price and potential output for Firkser if he’s the starting TE against a weak Jacksonville secondary.

Jordan Akins HOU @ CHI (28th)(FD-$5,000)(DK-$2,900)

Houston Texans TE Jordan Akins

Akins will continue seeing a majority of offensive snaps at the tight end position. Believe it or not the Bears are awful against opposing tight-ends.

Jacob Hollister SEA vs. NYJ (32nd)(FD-$4,900)(DK-$3,100)

Seattle Seahawks TE Jacob Hollister

Seattle at home playing the worse team in the NFL. What could go wrong? I’m fairly certain Russ and the Seahawks want to get right. Seattle wins big!

Tyler Eifert JAX vs. TEN (25th)(FD-$4,700)(DK-$3,100)

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert

Classic case of the Jags trying to keep pace with the Titans.

Cole Kmet CHI vs. HOU (13th)(FD-$4,600)(DK-$2,900)

Chicago Bears rookie TE Cole Kmet

Cole is no stranger to B&B. In the meantime it looks as if he’s become the Bears TE1.

Donald Parham Jr. LAC vs. ATL (31st)(FD-$4,400)(DK-$2,500)

Los Angeles Chargers TE Donald Parham Jr.

I just have a hard time thinking the Chargers will struggle on offense again at home vs. the Falcons.

If you’re still reading then thank you. The support that you’ve show for me and Bottom of the Barrel this season has been incredible!

Here are two of my sample lines I’m going to use for week 14! Keep in mind these lines are for entertainment purposes! Please play responsible!

Too Early 2021 NFL Draft
Ben Anderson

Over the last few months I’ve learned several things about social media. First and foremost it’s toxic! Second, people really like to look ahead. Third, crazier the comment then higher the likes.

In the spirit of social media toxicity what better way to join the party then with an early 2021 mock draft!

Ben is one of our resident college football fans and writers. He loves NFL mock drafts so who am I to stop him? If you missed ROUND 1 check it out right here!
