Today is an odd circumstance. Only two games on the NHL schedule. One of which being extremely lopsided.

At this stage of the season the playoff picture is starting to take shape. On the flip side, some games become more one-sided.

I’m excited to bring you my favorite cash game goalies along with a few GPP goalies. I believe In the Net makes for a good compliment to Hot Pucking Stacks! Both articles together should bring us plenty of success!

Due to the small NHL schedule tonight I will mention each projected goalie.

CASH

COL G – Michael Hutchinson

Michael Hutchinson COL @ DET (FD-$7,100)(DK-$7,900)***CONFIRMED***

4-9-1 W-L – 3.65 GAA – 0.886 SV% – 1 SO

Colorado is hot right now riding a six game winning streak. The Red Wings are without doubt the worst team in hockey. COL has also won their last 5 vs. DET outscoring them 21-10. Hutch is the safest goalie tonight. I don’t often use, “sure thing” but a win for Hutch is a sure thing. Hutch has only started vs the Wings once, a 4-1 win. Stopping 29 of 30 shots.

TOURNAMENT (GPP)

Mid-tier!

NSH G – Pekka Rinne

Pekka Rinne NSH vs. EDM (FD-$7,500)(DK-$8,300)***CONFIRMED***

18-13-4 W-L – 3.0 GAA – 0.9 SV% – 3 SO

Pekka is starting tonight as you can see! Although in Nashville EDM is still dangerous. Pekka is my GPP goalie of choice this evening. He is everything you want in a tournament goalie. Should see a ton of work. He’s as solid.Has the upside of 30+ fantasy points. Both of Rinne’s shutouts have come at home this season.

Pay up!

EDM G – Mike Smith

Mike Smith EDM @ NSH (FD-$8,100)(DK-$7,000)***CONFIRMED***

18-10-6 W-L – 2.87 GAA – 0.905 SV% – 1 SO

Smith on the road vs. Nashville isn’t a good spot. EDM is very good but the Preds are scrappy and I could see us getting burned using Mike. Again, on a small slat like tonight all the goalies are in play. Smith will start against Nashville for the third time this season. Going 2-0-0 and stopping 57 of 61 shots.

Value!

DET G – Jonathan Bernier

Jonathan Bernier DET vs. COL (FD-$7,200)(DK-$7,100)

The Wings have allowed 3+ goals per game in 16 of their last 19 games. The only reason to even consider playing Bernier tonight is if you’re going to max enter or get as many lines/combos in as possible.

Tonight should be fun! Many different combos and strategies. If possible I suggest a few lines where we pivot away from COL.
