Last night was another fantastic night for our hockey lineups! I decided to give out an edited After Hours line right before lock at 10p. Here is that lineup…
As you can see it finished with 146.2! Even with a 0.0 from Evander Kane! We’ve been a real heater here at DFS Cheat Sheets.
My bread and butter has always been smaller two game slates. Normally after hours. I’m happy and very proud I’ve been able to share my process with anyone who wants to listen! I’ve read all your emails and FB messages and thank you all for the kind words.
On the flip side over the past few months I’ve noticed a lot of hate and insecurity in the DFS community. I’m of the belief that the more we share and support each other the farther we can go. I’ve established some friendships and connections with random strangers around the county. The one lasting effect to these friendships is support. Always bouncing ideas around and working on a process.
I’ve never once claimed to know it all. I’ve often asked for help and have always listened. The moment I push my content as a know it all is the day I will crash and burn. Will things ever change online? Absolutely not but I sleep well at night knowing I did the best I can.
Supporting each other and sharing each others ideas can only bring more love and better ideas. This is not about our egos or individual achievements. Together we are stronger. If you don’t believe me look around at all the blossoming DFS optimizer sites. Or the strong DFS groups on Face book, Slack or Discord. It’s a group of people with like minded ideas and one common goal.
I’m no one special but please, lets share and support each other more.
Tonight is a packed NHL schedule! On Fanduel its broken down into four slates. There are as follows.
Main 7p (11 games)
Express I 8p (2 games)
Express II 830p (3 games)
After Hours 9p (3 games)
After spending the evening and this morning reading and combing over statistics these are the stacks that I’m interested in tonight!
Taylor Hall L1 & PP1
Christian Dvorak L1 & PP1
Connor Garland L1 & PP1
Arizona gives up goals, that’s no secret. They are in Toronto tonight and we know how talented the Maple Leafs are. They’ve actually underperformed this season. The Coyotes rank 22nd overall in scoring this season so far. The over/under tonight in TOR is 6 and I see that being met and then some! ARZ is only 2-5-3 in their last 10. This entire write isn’t very flattering for the Coyotes but that’s what I love most about it. A top line that also skates on the top power play. They are perfectly priced at little to no ownership!
TAMPA BAY 2
Alex Killorn L2 & PP1
Tyler Johnson L2 & PP1
Anthony Cirelli L2 & PP2
Two heavyweights back at it on the ice tonight! Tampa may be a little tired after playing in Columbus last night. The Penguins have been consistent as it comes. They are 8th in goals scored and 5th overall in goals allowed. These two played last week Tampa Bay won and they will win again tonight. 5-2 or 4-3.
Brett Connolly L2 & PP2
Vincent Trocheck L2 & PP2
Noel Acciari L2
Another team headed in the wrong direction. If you’ve paid attention that’s the theme here tonight. Aside from the stud teams and great line combos, we’re looking for lines that may pop to compliment the TB1s and PIT1s lines who score massive points. Florida is playing in New Jersey tonight and the Devils have played well as of late. The Devils have a good chance to put some goals in the net but the Panthers rank 5th overall in goals scored. Another sneaky play at a minimal price!
Jimmy Vesey L1 & PP2
Sam Reinhart L1 & PP1
Jack Eichel L1 & PP1
This one is a no-brainer tonight. The Red Wings are in Buffalo tonight and hopefully you remember my mantra; STACK against DETROIT! The Red Wings have the worst road goals scored average at 2.02. Jack Eichel has 69 total points so far this season and look for him and Buffalo to steam roll the Wings tonight in Buffalo. 4-1 or a 5-1 final here.
NEW YORK ISLANDERS 2
Anthony Beauillier L2 & PP2
Brock Nelson L2 & PP1
Josh Bailey L2 & PP2
The Islanders haven’t been great on offense ranking 22nd in goals scored but they have a solid defense! Ranking 4th overall in goals against. The Flyers come to town tonight and they have played awesome in their past few games but they aren’t good enough to keep it. After the Flyers won by 5 goals their last time out they may in their emotions while the Islanders stay steady. NYI win 4-2 tonight.
LAS VEGAS 2
Paul Stastny L2 & PP1
Reilly Smith L2 & PP2
Jonathan Marchessault L2 & PP1
Vegas is the better team here. The Minnesota Wild are in the bottom portion of the NHL offensively and their defense ranks as one of the worst around and giving up the 7th most goals this season. Although in Minnesota the Golden Knights handle their business and win 5-2 or 4-3.
Kyle Connor L1 & PP1
Mark Scheifele L1 & PP1
Patrik Laine L1 & PP1
If you have followed Hot Puck then you know I’ve suggested the Rangers second line often. Tonight I’m all in on the Jets. The Jets have won three straight and have only given up 2 goals in each of their three games. It will be tough sledding tonight in Winnipeg for the Rangers. Stack the Jets top line and watch them win 4-2!
ST LOUIS 2
Zach Sanford L2 & PP2
David Perron L2 & PP1
Ryan O’Reilly L2 & PP2
The Blues have played poorly on the road lately. Tonight they are in Anaheim to play the Ducks. Another team and line off the radar. St. Louis has faltered on defense recently meaning this one may turn into a shoot out. For that fact I’m stacking STL2. You all know I don’t care who wins the game. Who scores goals is the selling point. Blue win on the road tonight 4-2 or 3-2.
Gabriel Landeskog L1 & PP1
Nathan Mackinnon L1 & PP1
Mikko Rantanen L1 & PP1
Valeri Nichushkin L2 & PP2
Nazem Kadri L2 & PP1
Andre Burakovsky L2 & PP2
I’m going to lump both lines into the same paragraph. It’s quite clear Colorado is the better team here. Ottawa comes to the Pepsi center this evening and I don’t think it’s going to be pretty. Colorado has the highest implied winning percentage tonight at 74.4%. The Senators have scored 2.69 goals a game while allowing 3.30 goals a game. Colorado has averaged 3.69 goals a game and tonight could be the perfect time to stack COL and both lines. Watch the goals fall and the Avalanche win 5-2 or 6-1.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins L1 & PP1
Leon Draisaitl L1 & PP1
Kailer Yamamoto L1 & PP1
Connor McDavid hurt his quadriceps last night thought to be a charley horse has developed into a 2-3 week long injury. As one of the best skaters in all of hockey this hurts. The beauty of DFS is to get around injuries like this. Now Edmonton has shuffled their lines and EDM1 is very much in play tonight! Stack with confidence tonight at home vs. the Blackhawks. Get better Connor!
Thanks you for reading! Here is a main line and an after hours line up and the direction I’m heading. Please use these lines responsibility. They are always to be used for fun!
