Yesterday went well! Ottawa PP1, Calgary 1 and St. Louis 2 all scored numerous times! It was an extremely small slate so not much to brag about. We have major momentum moving in our direction lately! Every day here at DFS Cheat Sheets we’re getting better and better!

Total 158.4

Today there are six games. A main slate and a smaller four game after hours. There are a few great stacks this evening and a few of them can be used in BOTH main and after hours. One thing I’ve learned over the years is to play the smaller slates. It cuts down risk and give you somewhat of an advantage.

Alexander Kerfoot L2
John Tavares L2 & PP1
William Nylander L2 & PP1

If you’ve followed Hot Pucking Stacks then you know how much I love doubling down. Meaning a line of skaters to also sees power play minutes. With TOR2 we also get exposure to the first power play unit. On Monday the Maple Leafs socred five times.

William Nylander 18:32 (TOI) 1 goal 1 assist 2 points +1 and 4 (SOG)
John Tavares 20:15 (TOI) +2 and 4 (SOG)
Alexander Kerfoot 18:46 (TOI) 1 assist 1 point +3 and 1 (SOG)

This second line has been pretty active as of late and their opponent, Dallas Stars, has given up the most goals this season with 120. The Maple Leafs have scored the most goals this season with 180. Sometimes its just that simple! Fire up Toronto!

Ondrej Palat L2 & PP2
Anthony Cirelli L2
Tyler Johnson L2 & PP2

The Lightening are once again fantastic and their top line is on fire. They are also very expensive on a nightly basis. Given the slate this evening I’d rather find more value in other lines and half the price.

Barclay Goodrow L2
Joe Thornton L2 & PP1
Kevin LaBanc L2 & PP1

The Sharks are my favorite team tonight! Their second line is in a great spot and they are ridiculously cheap! Plus you get exposure to the top power play unit. It’s almost too good to be true! If you’d like we can mix and match the Sharks top line and first power play units.

Tomas Hertl L1 & PP1
Evander Kane L1 & PP1
Erik Carlson (defense) L2 & PP1

JT Miller L2 & PP1
Elias Pettersson L2 & PP1
Jake Virtanen L2 & PP2

Here’s the deal, the Canucks are second overall in play off goals (43) and the ninth most goals scored so far this season (162). While the Sharks have the best penalty killing percentage (87.3%). San Jose has accumulated a whopping 596 penalty minutes this season too. That’s around 10.5 penalty minutes a game. Now we see why they lead the league in PIM. Something has to give late this evening!

Here is a sample lineup for main. These are always for fun and please play safe!

Here is an after hours lineup. As you can see some of these stacks translate to both main and after hours!
