If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life. My late father told me that at a young age. Fast forward to now and I am just starting to see how true it really is. I am an only child and my parents we are happily married until my father passed away a few years back. Thanks to him my love for hockey runs deep.

How many times in your life has your mother or father tried to instill some sort of wisdom into you? Any corny family cliches come to mind? When we are young not many registers. We take it all for granted. For me, everything started to click as I grew older and lived my life. My favorite piece of advice from my parents was, “There is nothing you can do or say that we haven’t done already!”

When I was 18 years old my first thought was, “No way!” You never stayed out all night drinking and fist fighting.” As the years passed by and my relationship with my parents evolved it finally made sense! They were both young and dumb! They were both fun and active! The point here is to take the advice given and store it away. We process information at various speeds. Do not take your family for granted and enjoy every moment of it.

Boston 1

Boston Bruins

Brad Marchand L1 & PP1
Patrice Bergeron L1 & PP1
Jake DeBrusk L1 & PP2

Boston welcomes in the Philadelphia Flyers Thursday night as a massive favorite. They are -1.5 vs Philly and projected to win at 58.4% and to score 2.8 goals. Which is not exactly a lot given the fire power, but it makes sense.

New York Islanders 2

New York Islanders

Brock Nelson L2 & PP2
Josh Bailey L2
Anthony Beauvillier L2 & PP2

The Islanders host the New Jersey Devils and are also -1.5. They are projected to win 61.5% and to score 2.9 goals. The Islanders should win this game and they should dominate from the get-go. Their first line and second line both should do very. Although I love the idea of stacking NYI2 given the massive price difference.

Colorado Avalanche 2

Colorado Avalanche

Gabriel Landeskog L1 & PP1
Nathan McKinnon L1 & PP1
Mikko Rantanen L1 & PP1

Colorado is always in play when they are on the schedule. They take on the Kings in LA tonight and should be able to have their way with them. The Avalanche are projected to win at a whopping 72.2% and to score 3.2 goals. Their first line is awfully expensive so I will be mixing and matching COL1 with some COL4.

Colorado Avalanche 4

Colorado Avalanche

Erik Johnson L4
Matt Calvert L4
Pierre-Edovard Bellemare L4

This is the cheap stack to ride with if you want in on the Avalanche action. COL @ LA o/u is at 5.5 and I would not be shocked if 4 or 5 goals are scored by Colorado alone. Sometimes in hockey a cheap effective stack can put us over the edge in a GPP.

The idea to write and present my favorite game stack of the night just came out of nowhere. Monday’s full game stack was outstanding! Tuesday nights stack not so much! Was not awful seeing how EDM won the game 3-1. That is the beauty of DFS! We can start over again the next day!

Today it is the Winnipeg Jets at the Ottawa Senators. Puck drops at 7p EST in Ottawa. This game is tied for the highest o/u of the night. (6.0)

OTT1/WPG2

Ottawa vs Winnipeg

Brady Tkachuk L1 & PP1 Nikolaj Ehlers L2 & PP2
Josh Norris L1 & PP1 Paul Stastny L2 & PP1
Drake Batherson L2 & PP1 Kyle Connor L2 & PP1

WPG1/OTT2

Winnipeg vs Ottawa

Alex Galchenyuk L2 & PP2 Andrew Copp L1 & PP2
Derek Stepan L2 & PP2 Blake Wheeler L1 & PP1
Evgenii Dadonov L2 & PP1 Mark Scheifele L1 & PP1

I went back and forth between this game and the Canadians at Canuks. This game stood out to me from a pricing perspective. Both Ottawa’s first two lines are extremely cheap.

It is an exciting time friend! As the NHL season starts to heat up so will Hot Pucking stacks!

FD 1/21 MAIN WPG1/OTT2

Here are some sample lines I am going to be using. Keep in mind these are for entertainment purposes only.
