NBA CRUSH SPOT 1/31/20

NBA CRUSH SPOT
JANUARY 31ST, 2020
BY BRANDON SILVERS

Point Guard

Eric Bledsoe

In his last 2 games, and knce he hit the 30 minute mark, Bledsoe has been on a tear. He put up 5u.w, and 37.1 FPTS(47.15 FPPG) for a 1.54 FPPM output. Most people will shy away from Denver’s 7th ranked offense, but I look for him to continue the streak if Monte Morris is guarding him.

Also Consider: Kyrie Irving, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose

Value: Jalen Brunson, J. Morant

Shooting Guard

James Harden

Since 2017 James Harden has averaged 51 FPPG vs the Dallas Mavericks no matter the countless number of oppenents they put in front of him. The shooting guard position looks quite healthy tonight sp choose wisely

Also Consider: Devin Booker,  Zach LaVine

Also Consider: Kyrie Irving, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose

Small Forward

Eric Gordon

Gordon has averaged 36 FPPG since once again taking on a more prominent role in the starting lineup. He will get a 22nd ranked D and the Dallas Mavericks who will look to run and gun. A game stack here is not out of the question.

Also Consider: Jae Crowder, Daniel House, Maxi Kleber

Power Forward

Zion Williamson

As he begins his career, we see something of a mutation in Zion. He has been an instant impact to the league and I cant wait to see what becomes of this young mans career.  He has averaged 1.3FPPM (23min) in his 4 games as a pro and draws the 24th ranked Memphis Grizzlies. I like this to be the highest scoring event of the night.

Also Consider: Jarrett Allen, Serge Ibaka

Value: Myhailiuk,  K. Anderson

Center

Jonas Valincuinas

I already stated my opinion in this game and im sticking by it with Jonas. In an earlier meeting he put up 32 FPTS in just 20 min. He has seen 30+ in B2B games and should be in line for 6X value.

Also Consider: Hasaan Whiteside, Steven Adams, Brook Lopez

Value: Christiano Felicio

NHL WHO’S ON THE ICE
JANUARY 31ST, 2020
BY BRANDON SILVERS

Today’s 7 game NHL main slate rrccomendations by Brandon Silvers from @DfsCheatsheet

CENTER of Attention

Dylan Larkin

In his past 3 games, Larkin has been an effective part of Detroit’s 1st line. He has amassed 2 goals, 3 assists, and 7 shots on goal with an averahe of 20.8 FPPG. He gets the Rangers and goalie Shesterkin who hasn’t seen under a  90% save rate in his small 3 game career. Larkin and the Wings find a way to get it done.

Also Consider: Niklas Backstrom

Stack With: Tyler Bertuzzi & Filip Zadina

Winging It

Alex Ovechkin

Ovechkin is in his own category and nearly impossible to stop. He has put up some insanely good numbers lately. In his last 4 he has 9 goals, 1 Assist, and 17 shots on goal totalling 144.3 FPTS (36.1 FPPG)

STACK WITH: NIKLAS BACKSTROM & TOM WILSON

Leon Draisitl

Leon is the playmaker for the Edmonton Oilers and has his work cut out facing the defending champions at home vs the Saint Louis Blues. In his last 6 he has 3 goals, 9 assists, and 19 shots on goal for an average of 24.6 FPPG. Look for him to distribute the puck to the scorers.

Also Consider: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Tyler Bertuzzi

D-Fence

Justin Braun

Braun has emerged in the past two weeks to have some of the best numbers of his career. The 3rd line guy is a sneaky play that could pay high dividends. In his last 5, the Flyer defenseman has 3 goals, 1 assist, and 7 shots on goal with 13.6 FPPG

Also Consider: Shae Theodore, J. Lauzon, T. Sanheim

GOALIE

Ilya Samsonov

Samsonov is 10-0 in his last 10 starts including a shutout. He has averaged a 94% save rate and will Face an Aneheim offense who ranks 27th in efficiency. Pay up and call it a day!

Hot Pucking Stacks 1/31/20 (4 FREE lineups)

January is finally coming to an end! January and February feel like six months when it’s snowing and cold here in Michigan! There is a lot of good hockey on tonight! A few heavyweight match-ups.

I got started last night due to all the excitement! It’s a busy slate tonight with seven games on tap. Many high priced studs! Hopefully you trust my opinion and my research. Before we get into tonight lets review last night.

Montreal 1 did all the damage in this one. A portion of the Coyotes stack paid off while the Nashville defensive came up big with a goal, 6 SOG, 2 assists and 4 blocked shots. The line pictured below finished with 157 points!

157

DFS cheat sheets has been on a tear lately with our hockey content! Almost certain we keep it going tonight!

As I looked into tonight’s hockey action one thing stuck out. Find the best top stud line then mix and match it with a teams lowly 3rd or 4th line. That creates potential for a deadly combination!

My toughest decision was between four different top lines tonight. Boston 1, Edmonton 1, Pitsburgh 1 or Tampa Bay 1. Lets talk this out and see what we can come up with!

NEW YORK RANGERS 2

You know the drill by now. Stack the team who plays against the Detroit Red Wings on a nightly basis. The Wings haven’t played in well over week. They aren’t good to begin with so the Rangers are looking quite juicy this evening!

Ryan Strome L2
Jesper Fast L2
Pavel Buchnevich L2
Tony DeAngelo (defense) L2

Adding Tony D on your roster is a smart move tonight. He anchors the second line AND also plays on the first power play unit. He’s around 19-20 minutes of ice time a game.

PITTSBURGH 2

Jared McCann L2
Evgeni Malkin L2 & PP1
Bryan Rust L2 & PP1

This second line has the most potential to produce like a top tier heavily priced line. As you can see Malkin and Rust skate on the top power play line with Crosby. Their price is perfect!

WASHINGTON 3

Carl Hagelin L3
Lars Eller L3 & PP2
Richard Panik L3
John Carlson (defense) L1 & PP1

Aside from the Rangers and Tampa Bay the Capitols hold the 3rd highest win probability. The Caps at Ottawa does have the highest over/under goal implication tonight. Washington also has the highest goal scoring projection and margin of win tonight to boot. Their top line also doubles as their top power play unit and the price of each skater reflects that.

If we construct our rosters right tonight we can fit in John Carlson. As it stands now John is the #1 overall ranked defenseman. Rightfully so given his production. 13 goals, 47 assists, 60 points, 145 SOG while playing 24+ minutes a night. He’s the most expensive defensemen tonight but well worth it.

BOSTON 3

Danton Heinen L3 & PP2
David Krejci L3 & PP2
Karson Kahlmen L3

These three men are dirt cheap far as pricing on Fanduel. I expect BOS @ WPG to be a points fest. Goals, assists and shots on goal. The Bruins top line is too expensive for my liking. Enter BOS3! Cheap with massive upside.

EDMONTON 2

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins L2 & PP1
Leon Draisaitl L2 & PP1
Kailer Yamamoto L2

As we move down the list the stacks are becoming more expensive. The reason I cannot fully endorse ED1 with Connor McDavid is all based on their opponent this evening. They are underdogs at home tonight vs. the St. Louis Blue. The Blue are stingy on defensive and I don’t expect EDM 1 to hit value at their expensive pricing. Enter EDM 2. A tad cheaper with exposure to power play unit one.

TAMPA BAY 1

Nikita Kucherov L1 & PP1
Steven Stamkos L1 & PP1
Brayden Point L1 & PP1
Victor Hedman (defense) L1 & PP1

My big money stack of the night! Three of these men are top notch far as pricing is concerned. Of the big name players and teams I mentioned to start the article, this group has the most potential to go crazy! Start these skaters with confidence and watch the points accumulate!

TB1/BOS3

I have been fooling around with line combos since last night. If you look at my sample lineups you will see rosters mixed with high potential firepower and a dash of value. Constructing productive rosters for tonight came easy. That isn’t always a good thing.

BOS3/EDM2

Hopefully you’ll be able to see my thought process through the sample lineups I have provided. As usual these sample lines are to be used for fun! Please play responsible! As you can see in these two sample lineups it’s hard to get away from BOS 3 tonight. Very cheap with such high upside. Here is an example of a mix and match MAIN line.

NHL Main

AFTER HOURS NHL is pretty straight forward. A nice mixture of Tampa Bay and Edmonton should be all you need! Although both will high owned be careful who you mix and match. Here is what I’m thinking for late night.

Hot Pucking Stacks 1/30/20 (two FREE lineups) + After Hours

Another day another dollar! Our Tampa Bay 2 and Vancouver 1 stack last night totaled 137.3. If you used that in any double ups or smaller cash games you did well!

137.3

NHL tonight is another sweet round of games broken up into two slates. A main slate which features MTL @ BUF, NSH @ NJ and LA @ ARZ. While the after hours round consists of NSH @ NJ and LA @ ARZ.

My favorite stack tonight is Arizona. The Coyotes are home against the Predators. On paper it doesn’t look like the best match up. Due to that fact I believe ARZ 1 and their first power play unit will be low owned.

ARIZONA 1

Taylor Hall L1 & PP1
Christian Dvorak L1 & PP1
Conor Garland L1 & PP1

ARIZONA PP1

Phil Kessel
Christian Dvorak
Conor Garland
Taylor Hall
Oliver Ekman-Larson (defense)

MONTREAL 2

Max Domi L2 & PP2
Nick Suzuki L2 & PP1
Joel Armia L2 & PP2

Main NHL

The above line is what I’ve put togther for the main NHL slate. Was able to work in pieces from stacks and Eichel as my favorite one off!

This evening at 7:30p is when the AFTER HOURS slate locks. Our Arizona stack will carry over.

ARIZONA 1

Taylor Hall L1 & PP1
Christian Dvorak L1 & PP1
Conor Garland L1 & PP1

ARIZONA PP1

Phil Kessel
Christian Dvorak
Conor Garland

NEW JERSEY 1

Jesper Bratt L1 & PP2
Nico Hischier L1 & PP1

NASHVILLE 2

Kyle Turris L2
Viktor Arvidsson L2 & PP1
Filip Forsberg L2 & PP1

Here are some one plays I like tonight too.

Jack Eichel BUF
Jeff Skinner BUF
Tomas Tatar MTL

Here is what I’m working with for after hours!

Hot Pucking Stacks 1/29/20 (TWO FREE lineups)

Yesterday went well! Ottawa PP1, Calgary 1 and St. Louis 2 all scored numerous times! It was an extremely small slate so not much to brag about. We have major momentum moving in our direction lately! Every day here at DFS Cheat Sheets we’re getting better and better!

Total 158.4

Today there are six games. A main slate and a smaller four game after hours. There are a few great stacks this evening and a few of them can be used in BOTH main and after hours. One thing I’ve learned over the years is to play the smaller slates. It cuts down risk and give you somewhat of an advantage.

TORONTO 2

Alexander Kerfoot L2
John Tavares L2 & PP1
William Nylander L2 & PP1

If you’ve followed Hot Pucking Stacks then you know how much I love doubling down. Meaning a line of skaters to also sees power play minutes. With TOR2 we also get exposure to the first power play unit. On Monday the Maple Leafs socred five times.

William Nylander 18:32 (TOI) 1 goal 1 assist 2 points +1 and 4 (SOG)
John Tavares 20:15 (TOI) +2 and 4 (SOG)
Alexander Kerfoot 18:46 (TOI) 1 assist 1 point +3 and 1 (SOG)

This second line has been pretty active as of late and their opponent, Dallas Stars, has given up the most goals this season with 120. The Maple Leafs have scored the most goals this season with 180. Sometimes its just that simple! Fire up Toronto!

TAMPA BAY 2

Ondrej Palat L2 & PP2
Anthony Cirelli L2
Tyler Johnson L2 & PP2

The Lightening are once again fantastic and their top line is on fire. They are also very expensive on a nightly basis. Given the slate this evening I’d rather find more value in other lines and half the price.

SAN JOSE 2 & PP2

Barclay Goodrow L2
Joe Thornton L2 & PP1
Kevin LaBanc L2 & PP1

The Sharks are my favorite team tonight! Their second line is in a great spot and they are ridiculously cheap! Plus you get exposure to the top power play unit. It’s almost too good to be true! If you’d like we can mix and match the Sharks top line and first power play units.

Tomas Hertl L1 & PP1
Evander Kane L1 & PP1
Erik Carlson (defense) L2 & PP1

VANCOUVER 2

JT Miller L2 & PP1
Elias Pettersson L2 & PP1
Jake Virtanen L2 & PP2

Here’s the deal, the Canucks are second overall in play off goals (43) and the ninth most goals scored so far this season (162). While the Sharks have the best penalty killing percentage (87.3%). San Jose has accumulated a whopping 596 penalty minutes this season too. That’s around 10.5 penalty minutes a game. Now we see why they lead the league in PIM. Something has to give late this evening!

Here is a sample lineup for main. These are always for fun and please play safe!

NHL MAIN

Here is an after hours lineup. As you can see some of these stacks translate to both main and after hours!

Hot Pucking Stacks 1/28/20 (FREE lineup)

Today is an extremely light NHL day. Only two games. Perfect day to comb over every possible line combination and get it right. As I’ve said before you have to be damn near perfect to hit big on a small slate. Rest easy, let DFS Cheat Sheets do it for you!

Ottawa @ Buffalo
St. Louis @ Calgary

Smaller the slate the more I play. I’ve learned not everyone thinks this same way. As stated it’s a very small round of games. As it stands now the Buffalo Sabers have the highest implied goal total at 3.4 vs. the Senators and their 2.7 implied goals.

Lets stack Buffalos first line with some exposure to their first power play unit!

BUFFALO 1

Jack Eichel L1 & PP1
Sam Reinhardt L1 & PP1
Zemgus Girgensons L1

If you feel like going all in on the Sabers add these skaters who are also on the first power play.

Marcus Johansson L1 & PP1
Rasmus Dahlin (defense) L2 & PP1

Another line I think is sneaky and can be added at a low price is the Senators second line. Plus you get exposure to the first power play! The combined implied goal total for OTT @ BUF is 6. Stacking this game and staying away from the goaltenders is the way we should go tonight!

OTTAWA 2

Vladislav Namestnikov L2 & PP1
Chris Tierney L2
Connor Brown L2 & PP1

The second line is dirt cheap and with Vlad and Brown playing on the first power play these three are a must for me tonight.

The Blues @ Flames game has me mystified. There is a 5.5 implied goal total and on a per team basis its split down the middle. Blues 2.7 goals and Flames at 2.8 goals. Once I started digging in the stats and numbers heavily favor the Blues. That’s the direction we should go tonight.

ST. LOUIS 2 & PP1

Ryan O’Reilly L2 & PP1
David Perron L2 & PP1
Zach Sanford L2

These three are my favorites if you’re going to stack the Blues. Add in these three skaters as part of a full STL power play one stack.

Jaden Schwartz L1 & PP1
Brayden Schenn L1 & PP1
Alex Pietrangelo (defense) L1 & PP1

As I mentioned earlier today is a tiny slate and I will be playing heavy! Do not be afraid to mix and match. If you see something I missed reach out! Lets talk about it! Here’s what my line looks like tonight. Just a reminder, this line is for fun. Play smart!

NHL WHO’S ON THE ICE 1/27/20

NHL WHO’S ON THE ICE
JANUARY 27TH, 2020
BY BRANDON SILVERS

CENTER of Attention

Anthony Cirelli

He has six points,  five shots on goal and two blocked shots in his last 3 games. In addition to that he scored a hat trick for the TB in their 7-1 win against  WPG on Jan. 17. Cirelli had four shots on goal in the game , five SOG and two blocked shots in his past three games.

Stack With
Ondrej Palat
Tyler Johnson

WINGING IT

Ilya Kovalchuk

He scored a goal and had three SOG in the Montreal Canadiens’ 5-4 shootout win against the Vegas Golden Knights on Jan. 18, extending his point streak to three games.

Connor Brown

Brown has a goal and an assist in each of his past three games with two power-play points and nine SOG in the span. He has 16 points  in 24 home games and two assists in two games against the New Jersey Devils this season

D-FENCE

Alex Pietrangelo

He has nine points, six PPP and 25 shots on goal in his past eight games and is a must-start defenseman in DFS contests on the road against the Vancouver Canucks. He has two points and seven shots on goal in two games against the Canucks and 23 point to compliment 12 PPP in 24 road games this season.

GOALIE

Carey Price

He has won each of his past four starts and made 30 saves for Montreal in the aforementioned win against the Golden Knights. Price has allowed six goals in his past four games, including one shutout. With his recent play, he will be one of the top goalie options on Monday against the Capitals without Ovechkin.

BONUS STACK

Richard Panik

He will start on the top line for the Washington Capitals and replaces Ovechkin (1 game suspension) and should be stacked with:

Center: Nicklas Backstrom
Wing: Tom Wilson

Hot Pucking Stacks 1/27/20 (2 FREE lineups) express & after hours

Wow, where do we start? It was a longer then usual NHL All-Star break. Devastating news yesterday afternoon with the death of Kobe Bryant and eight other people including his daughter.

With such a tragic story it puts life into perspective. Be more kind. Love your family even more. Stop and smell the roses. Live your life to its fullest potential. We don’t have time to be angry and hurtful. Make every moment count.

It seems weird to be writing a NHL DFS article but for me, doing what we love is the best pay to carry on and heal.

Tonight there are six games broken up into three slates. I will break down each slate and give you a sample lineup for BOTH the 8p express AND 10p after hours!

The main slate is comprised of six total games. After digging all weekend here is what I’ve come up with!

OTTAWA line 1 & Power Play 1

Brady Tkachuk PP1
Jean-Gabriel Pageau PP1
Anthony Duclair PP1

By now you know how much I love double dipping with lines that also play power play minutes! Perfect example tonight with the Senators first line! Each member of this line is priced medium to cheap!

TORONTO Power Play 1

William Nylander L2 & PP1
John Tavares L2 & PP1
Mitch Marner L1 & PP1
Auston Matthews L1 & PP1

The Maple Leafs first Power Play unit is expensive along with their first line. They are well worth it and should pay off! As you read along you’ll see with OTT1 & my next line stack MON 2 you can fit them in!

MONTREAL L2 & PP2

Max Domi L2 & PP2
Nick Suzuki L2 & PP1
Joel Armia L2 & PP2

These additional Candiens are part of the second Power Play unit.

Nick Couzins PP2
Ilya Kovalchuk PP2

Both the Montreal second line and the second power play unit are dirt cheap! You can plug and play them with the Maple Leafs PP1 and it should yield fantastic results!

When we move to the 8p Express slate it quite cut and dry!

Keep Toronto first line and their top power play unit in your mind when building an express slate!

TORONTO Power Play 1

William Nylander L2 & PP1
John Tavares L2 & PP1
Mitch Marner L1 & PP1
Auston Matthews L1 & PP1

Nashville L2 & PP2

Filip Forsberg L2 & PP2
Matt Duchene L2 & PP1
Mikael Grandlund L2 PP2

These additional two skaters make up the rest of the Predators second power play unit.

Craig Smith L3 & PP2
Kyle Turris PP2 & PP2

Nashville and their second power play team is perfectly priced. Tonight the Toronto @ Nashville game has the highest implied goal total at 6.5 goals. If you’re going to stack a game choose this one and shy away from the two goalies!

8p express

Moving on we come to the 10p After Hours contest! I have three super solid stacks to pick from. Here they are.

Vancouver PP1

JT Miller
Bo Horvat
Brock Boeser
Elias Petterson

The Canuks first power play unit is priced above average but I find it justified given their production. They are home tonight vs. the Blues and I can see a 2-3 or 4-3 final in this one!

St. Louis L1

Jaden Schwartz L1 & PP1
Brayden Schenn L1 & PP1
Oskar Sundqvist L1

This line here is my favorite on the After Hours slate. They are medium to low priced. The Blues first line also plays on their first power play unit. Aside from Oskar and again, you know how much I love to double dip!

San Jose L1

Evander Kane L1 & PP1
Tomas Hertl L1 & PP1
Timo Hertl L1

They are home vs. the Anaheim Ducks. No brainer tonight!

10p After Hours
