What sets fantasy baseball aside for me is all the strategy that goes in. Some owners like crafty veterans while other want young prospects. There is no right way! It’s your team! You’re able to build it how you want!
I’m asking you all now to please get involved in a dynasty start up. I’m not trying to push my ideals on anyone but I promise you’ll thank me later! The excitement that builds inside of me this time of year can only be explained as Christmas 1989 and getting my first Nintendo. Only this time you get to relive that excitement over and over.
We all find our own way in terms of fantasy sports. There is no wrong way! Build how you want and build to maximize your enjoyment.
What I’m going to bring you this time around is a 14 team mixed league mock draft. 5×5 rotisserie scoring format. Which means, batting average, home runs, RBI’s, stolen bases and runs for hitters. Wins, saves, ERA, strikeouts and WHIP for pitchers.
99. Mike Soroka SP-Atlanta Braves
Mike doesn’t give up hard contact! He had a 2.68 ERA last season. Soroka has weak strikeout rate (7.3K/9). That doesn’t bother me much, with a low ERA the K’s will come.
100. Yasiel Puig OF-Free Agent
I was a little apprehensive to draft him given the fact he still doesn’t have a home. The Colorado Rockies rumors are false while the White Sox rumors are heating up. Either way lets expect 25+ HR’s 80+ RBI and a strong average.
101. Jon Berti 3B-Miami Marlins
No one has mention Berti! Jon is eligible at SS/3B/OF. A super late bloomer, Jon was given a chance last season and at 30 years old was quite solid! Berti should run enough this season to make this draft choice well deserved!
102. Luis Robert OF-Chicago White Sox
Now we’re talking! Aside from RP’s I love me some prospects! Luis went 30-30 in the minors last season and he’s ready for the show! I’m telling you now you’re going to want as many pieces of this White Sox roster as possible!
103. Max Kepler OF-Minnesota Twins
Max had a breakout season in 2019! Another guy I have a soft spot for! I’ve owned Kep in dynasty since 2016 and my patience paid off! What I love is his price and draft stock have not gone through the roof! 80 R/30 HR/85 RBI is a legitimate possibility!
104. Aroldis Chapman RP-New York Yankees
What can I say here? Chapman is closing for a fantastic team and should see plenty of save opportunities. 35+ saves and a 2.35 WHIP is stud status. I’ve often wondered what he thinks about this Astro’s cheating scandal and the HR Altuve hit off of him.
105. Jo Adell OF-Los Angeles Angels
Should be in the running for ROY and has MASSIVE upside with his power/speed. In that LAA lineup should fit in perfectly!
106. Jeff McNeil OF-New York Mets
Jeff has multi-positional eligibility and gives your team a great BA boost. Is his power legit?
107. Gavin Lux 2B-Los Angeles Dodgers
Lux will help your BA, has a ton of speed and nice pop. I’m just so excited about the rookie season ahead!
108. Miguel Sano 3B-Minnesota Twins
Sano drives me nuts but his power is real. In this Twins lineup I’m buying!
109. Max Fried SP-Atlanta Braves
Max is no doubt part of the Braves rotation but he needs to limit the hard hit contact.
110. Michael Brantley OF-Houston Astros
Did you know Brantley was a top 20 hitter last season? I know! He was way undervalued and I see no reason why he doesn’t do it again in 2020!
111. Nicholas Castellanos OF-Cincinnati Reds
As a Tigers fan I’m happy for Nick! With the Reds he should produce plenty of runs and push for 30 HR’s!
112. Amed Rosario SS-New York Mets
I’m hoping for some growth and loads of steals! Playing time won’t be an issue and the Mets are getting better!
